Liverpool's Premier League title push suffered a setback on Thursday when their Spanish international striker Fernando Torres was ruled out for up to three weeks with a hamstring strain.
Torres, who had only just returned to the side after five weeks out with a similar problem, picked up the injury in the 1-0 Champions League win over Marseille at Anfield on Wednesday.
Defender Fabio Aurelio will be out for a fortnight after picking up a calf problem in the same game.
A club spokesman told To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts. "Fernando has a strain in his right hamstring and will be out of action for between two and three weeks. Fabio has a calf strain in his left leg and will be out for two weeks."
Meh Liverpool have Gerrard back.. one comes in while another goes out, its a loss though Kuyt is playing well of late. They're suposed to be a real contender this year so it shouldn't upset them too much >_>
This week will probably shape how the premier league finishes for this season. Chelsea seem to be coming to a bit of a halt while Liverpool are unpredictable. I think you guys can afford a draw but you really need to make up some ground before the break.

After drawing at Villa I think we really need to win this one. I can see it going either way but I have a horrible feeling City could hammer us.
Man United vs Man City

Robinho looks set to return to the Manchester City side after sitting out the 2-0 Uefa Cup win over Schalke with a slight ankle injury.
Gelson Fernandes (hamstring) and Pablo Zabaleta (thigh) are also available.
Manchester United's Dimitar Berbatov is in contention after returning to training following a hamstring injury.
Defender Gary Neville (groin) and midfielder Paul Scholes (knee) have resumed training, but only Neville looks likely to be in the squad.
Berbatov has missed the last two games and United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has vowed not to rush him back.
He said: "Hamstring injuries are never easy to deal with. We must be careful because he has never had one before.
"We will have to gauge whether it's wise to use him from the start on Sunday or to have him on the bench."
Bulgarian Berbatov, 27, was injured while on international duty.
Meanwhile, Ferguson also confirmed that veteran duo Neville and Scholes are also back in training.
Neville has been struggling with a groin injury, although he might be fit to face City.
But Scholes, who had a knee operation after the Champions League trip to Aalborg in September, is more likely to be held back.
Manchester City (from): Hart, Zabaleta, Richards, Dunne, Garrido, Ball, Wright-Phillips, Elano, Ireland, Kompany, Robinho, Vassell, Hamann, Benjani Mwaruwari, Sturridge, Fernandes, Ben Haim, Schmeichel, Onuoha, Evans.

robinho playing = city win imo. You guys have looked lacklusture of late though Id disagree with you by saying that if its rape.. United take the points.

Well its led to discussion about the title race in general, which would obviously happen. It is not like the section is epic active so might as well discuss it here. I don't post preview threads but I will post a Prem roundup thread after the games.
I honestly think we could lose like 4-1.

Tom you are as well aware as i am that not even playing a backline of Gary Neville clones will see you concede 4 goals within 90 minutes.. if you do well.. i'll be shocked.
