Is Gilbert Arenas an elite NBA player?

He's sure playing like it in this series with the Cavs. Lets put it this way, Gilbert has gone shot for shot with LeBron the whole way, and I expect the Wizards to win game 6 in Washington and send this to the final game.

Here's Gilbert's line in the series..

33.6 points 5.8 Rebounds 4.3 assists 2.2 steals

I don't understand why this guy is never talked about. We should also keep in mind that the man was 4th in the league in scoring at 29.3 a game and that's with two other scorers on the team in Jamison and Butler.

For the most part he's been an elite player the past few years. You could always tell he was gona become a superstar. He just isnt talked about in that market maybe.

I would say probably because of the team he is on. If he was on a decent team that got a lot of exposure then he would be talked about alot IMO.
