Yeah... This is why Sam Micthell pwns every other coach in the NBA!

Raptors hopefully will make it to the second round of the playoffs. Im pretty sure every NBA fan in Toronto would be happy if the team would at least get there this season. They've come to expect making the playoffs, thats no longer a goal.

Its kind of hard not to make the playoffs in the East now and days, so yeah, getting to that second round is key this year. We've brought in two big bodies in J.O and Jawai (even though I doubt Jaws does much but spot duty at the end of blow outs) and we really haven't gotten any worse in depth outside of the loss of two Me players in Ford and Delfino. Theres really no reason not to get in to the second round, especially if we draw a top 4 seed.

P.S this is Bargs final season before he becomes a total bust, step up Bargs.

EDIT: oh man that video, Smitch is kind of a nub as a coach but I love his interviews.

Mitchell isnt rally a nub at coaching. You have to remember that he played and was assistant coach for/ of the Twolves (sp?). They are a defensive team, always have always will be. The Raptors, since being in the NBA, have been an offensive minded team. Thats not Mitchells style so he had to adjust. This season he gets a more defensive team to coach and they will also have a more half court offense. Its more of a controled style of basketball.

Well, for a defensive minded coach Smith runs probably some of the worst defensive sets. Theres honestly no mystery to what he does, theres Man to man, and Man to Man oh and Man to Man. If he can prove me and a lot of people wrong, Ill be more then happy but his defense to me left a lot to be desired through his entire reign as HC.

Lets not forget the time Sam tried to install a Run and Gun offense, I believe his offensive game plan was "put up 100 shots". I mean I love the guy, hes just kind of odd.

Pre-Season for the NBA starts off Tomorrow Heat vs. Detroit. I wish I could watch the game, I am rooting for the Heat this year. But of Course my Celtics are going for another Championship! LETS GO CELTICS!

Well, so far what Ive learned about the Celtics is this.

Bill Walker is a bitch and just another reason to hate the Celtics. also I hope Artest lays the boom thang on Allen and Pierce again in the regular season. Hes even got Tmac in a fighting mood.

Eddie House is a big time tool now to, if he already wasnt.

Alright bottom line, Artest was an asshole in that game and got away with so much crap it isn't even funny. Bill Walker is my favorite bench player and is going to go high places for the C's. TMac was just a little punk last night and all Eddie did was tell TMac the truth and TMac didn't want to hear it. So that whole thing last night was so stupid and Artest is too blame for all of it.

The fight they had was just dumb and unneeded and it was clear Artest was just bitching. I just can not wait for the regular season to start because we have a chance to show everyone last year was no fluke. REPEAT BABY

Alright, first of all, don't talk that way about Red, no need to bring a great into the discussion. It was Artest's fault that it all started. He started with the physical defense and all we did was retaliate. And I don't hate Artest, I think he is a great player, just still has a really bad temper and doesn't know how to control it.
