Playing Badly and Winning or Playing Well and Losing?
Right so last night on 'Your on Sky Sports', the phone in show there were a few emails from West Ham fans saying that they would rather see their team play well throughout the game than play like they did against Macclesfield and win late on. Now I am pretty sure that was a shot at Liverpool at the same time, but I totally call bullshit on that.
I would much rather play horrible in a game, get a little luck and snatch it like we have in our past 3 games, we have the players such as Gerrard, Torres and evidently Kuyt who can and do score late on, now whether it be cup or league, preferably league, it is a LOT more important to grab the 3 points or advance than to see exciting football. Having the ability to score late on like this shows quality in being able to wrap up goals under immense pressure.
We need a LOT of luck if we want to come close to winning the league and no doubt that even Rafa is concentrating on the league for the first time instead of the Champions League.
Thoughts?

It depends. Obviously the points are the main thing, but sometimes if you are playing badly and getting lucky wins, it looks less promising than if a team is playing great but just lacking a little luck, because it looks like things will come together and results will follow performances.
Plus there is the fact that Manchester United pride themselves on entertaining attacking football, so if we are not producing it the fans are not happy.
Obviously points are the main thing, but the quality of play is important too, especially because luck can change very quickly.

Coming from another West Ham fan ironically lol, last night it wasn't just one, it was quite a few Hammers fans saying that performance is more important.

That's the problem with Arsenal we play brilliant football but never seem to get the results & lol at someone saying Kuyt is good, if Rafa didn't love him he would of been gone in a year.
