Fuck Chris Shelton, Pujols has 10 home runs already. He's on pace for like 100!!! I know that's unrealistic, but whatever. This guy is one of the best hitters in major league baseball, and I think he can be the first person since Maris to hit a legitimate 60 HR's. (Fuck McGwire, Sosa, and Bonds) Does anyone remember the home run he hit off Brad Lidge in Game 6 of the NLCS last year? Crowd going crazy, expecting the Astros to go to their first World Series, elite closer on the mound, and the second Pujols made contact the crowd fell dead silent. The ball must have gone about 450 feet. This guy is amazing...

The thing that also makes Pujols amazing is that he strikes out probably only about 50 or 60 times a season and carries an average well into the .300's every single year. I get the feeling like when he doesn't hit a home run I'm surprised.

Tom, I found it funny that you named your thread title "phat albert" as that is the team name of Peppermint Fizz's Fantasy team she is in with me. haha. (Yes, she has Pujols)

He just hit another homer just now as I write this. That's 23 homers now, on pace for Bond's record of 73.. Holy shit! I didn't think anyone could ever hit 70. Then 73. Now possibly more? It's not just steroids folks, these hitters are fucking incredible and most pitchers can't keep up.
