Manchester City have lost out to Italian side AC Milan in the race to sign Barcelona playmaker Ronaldinho.
"AC Milan and Barcelona have reached an agreement in principle over the transfer of Ronaldinho," the Serie A club said on their website.
"The player will be in Milan on Wednesday to undergo a medical and sign a contract that will keep him at Milan until 30 June 2011."
City had reportedly bid £25.5m for the 28-year-old Brazilian.
But Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport reported on its website that Milan will pay Spanish side Barcelona just £14.6m for his services, with the figure likely to be increased by performance-related bonuses.
Tough luck for City, but tbf I see no reason why he chose Milan over City.

You seen how fat the guy is now? He will never be anything like the player he was again. He is a fading star now. City might be better off without him.

Premiership is a bigger league, they are both in the UEFA cup and City are rich, as of now the clubs seem even, not history of course but on a level playing field.

Good fuck him off he's shit, holding the side back. Should've gone back to Gremio, they're actually going along nicely in the Brazilian league. Hopefully with the money we get from him, some will go to launching a stronger bid for Arshavin. Hopefully Hleb comes as well.
tbf Squib with a fresh start I see motivation for him to get his groove back so to speak, I don't feel he will ever be AS good but he can sure as hell be better than he is at this moment.
