Lawl. Both of them are about the same in stats. It was hard to choose.
.340 vs. .295?
.412 vs. .372?
32.1 vs. 14.0?
The only thing is Home Runs. Which is 6-0 Varitek.
Considering the Metrodome isn't exactly a left-handed home run paradise you can't really blame Joe.
Also Varitek doesn't even technically qualify statistically because he doesn't meet the games played requirement.

Benji has actually done more in a weaker line up than Soto has in a stack Cubs Line up. Also, aside for Tim Lincecum, Benji would be the only Giant going to the Allstar game possibly.
G. Soto:
Avg. = .304
Runs = 21
Hr. = 9
RBI's = 35
B. Molina:
Avg. = .329
Runs = 18
Hr. = 6
RBI's = 34
McCann would probably get the nod at Catcher but by Catchers basis, Benji has done more with alot less around him than either Soto or McCann. Not saying that Soto or McCann don't deserve it but they do, I just feel that given what the San Fransisco Giants are compared to the Braves and Cubs, The Giants deserve atleast one offensive allstar and that would be Benji Molina.
