Did anyone see what happened to Joege Posada the other day? He was warming up before a game, and somebody threw him a ball when he wasn't expecting it, and it hit him right in the face and broke his nose.
Anybody have any good balls to the face stories? I certainly don't...
I love that, that guy is such a tool, he deserves a ball to his face every now and again. I'm sure Jeter's balls have been on his face a few times before too.
Not a ball in the face story but rather a bat in the face story. In Babe Ruth a kid on my team stupidly walked behind another kid who was swinging in the on-deck circle and took a 36" aluminum louisville slugger to the face. We all laughed until we realized the kid lost half his front teeth.

Speaking of Jorge Posada, is it just me or is he the worst defensive catcher in the history of baseball. Maybe someone who sees the Yankees play more than I do could confirm or deny this. At least when he plays against the Red Sox he can barely catch the friggin' ball. I can't even count how many times I've seen the ball bounce out of his glove or carom off the side of it and roll to the backstop. He used to be able to hit so that was his saving grace but now he's losing that skill as well.

I have taken quite a few soccer balls to the face. The worst was when I got hit 2 weeks after having my wisdom teeth out. It hurt so much, and bled like a bitch.
Last year I broke a girls nose by kicking the ball at her face. It was an accident! But then I didn't feel so bad because it was the same girl who broke my wrist a month before.
I've had the soccer ball to the face so many times it doesn't even hurt anymore, serves me right for trying to be a goalie.

I had one of my front teeth broken with a soccer ball back in January this year. It was a routine long ball over the top and I was just jumping for it to make a nuisance of myself in defence. The centre-forward completly missed it and it got me square in the mouth breaking a tooth and splitting my lip.
