They are the first two teams to earn automatic berths to the NCAA tournament.

On a related note, Binghamton University (my alma mater) just won their first round game in the conference tournament. They now need two more wins to make it to the tournament. Best part is, the first two rounds of the tournament are played on their home court, so the next game (semi-final) is guaranteed to be at home.

The final game is played a week from today on the home court of the higher-seeded team of the finalists. Binghamton was the #2 seed, so if Albany (the #1 seed) loses, they're guaranteed home court advantage throughout the tournament.

On a side note, UCONN with a decent week can lock up a #1 seed. I've been telling people they are going to win it all again and I'm not backing down on that statement. They are loaded. I've watched almost every game they've had.
