Now I was reading an article on SI and it like the announcers during the game brought up an interesting point which by no doubt is obvious.
The call was down at the 1, no touchdown, now the rule states you need indisputable evidence to overturn a call, and I didn't see it there. It was just too close to call and they should have stuck with the play on the field.
So what do you think about the call and why do the refs suck so much this year.

I think the refs made the right call. It's evident that Santonio Holmes's feet were in the endzone for the TD and he fell forward. If both feet are in the endzone for TD, then it's official.

My understanding has always been the ball must break the plane of the goal line (only part of the ball, not necessarily the whole thing) for it to be a Touchdown.
It's like when players leap over the pylon...their feet aren't touching the ground at all, but if the ball broke the plane of the goal line and is in the end zone, it's called a touchdown.
All that being said, I think that was a poor call by the referee's. It was not a touchdown in my mind, and the ball didn't break the plane of the goal line.

No, the ball needs to be in the endzone for a TD, try again.
Also there isn't more bad calls this year as opposed to last year or any years previous, the only difference is now the media bites every single one.

wait are you saying Magic Johnson is black, has AIDS and has it better than ME?
There was one sideline angle that looked the ball broke the plane. The entire ball doesn't need to be across, just the nose of the ball has the touch the plane.
I was hoping it wouldn't be a TD, because the guy I was playing in my fantasy football playoffs had Roethlisberger. He ended up beating me by less than 2 points. Grrr.....

Yea like others have said your entire body can be in and it doesn't matter, it's only the very tip of the ball.
The thing about it though it wasn't ruled a touchdown and can those replays show that 100% it was a touchdown, and to me that means from all angles it has to look like a TD, it can't look like a TD from one and not the other it has to be all if the call on the field was no touchdown.
