Chad Pennington deserves some votes/mention for MVP. Sure he may not have great numbers like Favre or Manning in touchdown passes but to think that he has 70% accuracy rating with 14 touchdowns and only 6 interceptions is pretty damn good. Not to mention, he's leading one of the biggest turnarounds in NFL history from 1-15 to possibly 11-5. Also, he has the best accuracy of any quarterback in NFL history. I believe if the Dolphins beat the Jets in the final game of the season and win the AFC East division, then there will be some consideration for Tony Sparano as coach of the year and Chad Pennington as MVP.

If we're talking which team would absolutely suck the most without their current star then it's Adrian Peterson.
Their backup whose name escapes me right now is good but he doesn't demand 8 men in the box.
Yeah he does, That's the whole thing with Minnesota, they force you to put eight, and in games like last week, nine in the box. Antrel Rolle AND Adrian Wilson were up in the box for last weeks game for parts. Whether it was Taylor or Peterson. And whereas Peterson may be the better runner, Taylor is by far the better complete back. It's not really a knock on Adrian, but Taylor is a better pass catcher, and blocker.
If we're going based on what Suffy says, in my opinion that'd be Kurt Warner. He has the statistics as well as the "Team isn't that great without him" factor. Honorable mention to Favre, and to Turner.

That's gotta be one of the biggest misnomers ever used in an argument. Quarterbacks hardly control the win/loss record of a team. In fact, I'd attribute their recent success on the field to their defense going from 23rd overall to 11th overall moreso than I would Chad Pennington. If anything Pennington is a stop gap starter, that Sparano/Parcells created an offensive system for. That's the main thing that I see a lot of Parcells' coaching tree is good at. Making the system fit the quarterback, as opposed to forcing the QB in the system. Also 14/6 isn't really that good for a Quarterback. Also, that's Kurt Warner you're thinking of as he's at 68.4, whereas Pennington is at 66.3 on the year. Good for fifth overall

I get what you're saying, but I also disagree.
While it's true that Chester Taylor is an extremely well-rounded running back, or a "complete back" as some like to say, to say he's "by far the better complete back" seems an incredible disservice to Adrian Peterson, who by all accounts is one of the league's elite superstars, and who is far more vital to that team's success than Taylor is.

I disagree with that, I think Taylor is valuable to the Vikings success much more than anyone will ever give him credit for. I'm not saying Peterson is overrated, I'm not saying Peterson isn't any good. I'm just saying he's one dimensional. Which isn't a bad thing when you're as good as Adrian is at that one dimension.
