Discuss this lolfest of a trade, and Nash/Richardson should be fun, at the very least.
ToL sucks at spelling, JordAn is a terrible GM. I don't really understand this trade from either perspective. The Suns, whom supposedly were going to be getting away from the mantra "just score more than they do" seem to be going back to it.
Also to me, I don't see why Dudley was apart of this trade, Charlotte was stupid to part with him, and Phoenix already has him in Alando Tucker/Matt Barnes. Either way, I do concur that this is one lolfest of a trade.
For the Suns a great trade, but honestly they are old as shit.
Jefferson will be a great young talent that maybe the Suns can build around.
The only positive out of this trade for the Bobcats is that Bell's contract expires in 2010. Which means Morrison/Felton/May/Bell now come off the books in 2010 and clear up about 12 mil in cap room, but what free agent is going to want to go to Charlotte?
Ummm, Old as shit? Aside from O'Neal/Nash/Hill/Barnes(28), they're all early to mid-20's...
and Jefferson ftwho?

wait are you saying Magic Johnson is black, has AIDS and has it better than ME?
Okay, I may be bias considering the Suns have always been my fav. team, and JRich top 3 on my list of players I would love to come to the Suns .. so obviously I was stoked when I read this across the ticker last night .. BUT honestly, this isn't a bad trade for the 'Cats.
Sure, they traded away their top/most explosive scorer, a pick, and a young somewhat talented forward, but look who they get in return .. Raja Bell is one of the best defenders in the league (and personally were gonna' miss him in the long run because JRich is nowhere near as defencive minded as Raja ), Diaw who just a few years ago was popping out triple doubles like they were nothing and a great young F who can change momentum in any game within minutes. Sure he hasn't been putting up the numbers he used to, but look who he has in front of him for playing time (Amar'e and Shaq aren't any average joes who are gonna' give up too much of their own time in the front court), and I think he will be a great fit up front with Emekka and GWallace. Plus they get Singletary who just may flourish in this younger/more playing time atmosphere.
Also, rumour has it that the Bobcats were close to signing Juan Howard, who ofcourse is not the greatest PF out there, but if this still happens he will bring the Veteran Leadership that they've always needed.
If this happened, and they can keep all their young players in tact for the next few years, you'll have a great young, talented, exciting group of guys playing together .. and that will be all thanx for MJ .. and that's also IMO of course.
On the other side, for die hard Suns fans, the past 4-5 years have been total up and down upsets considering they've always had such great chemistry and ability but never made it to "the big one", then last year they made the trade for Shaq that obv. many ppl doubted and hated, and even lol'd, but to be honest I think it's working out quite nicely, even if he does need to take every couple games off to rest hah.
This year started with a let down with D'Antoni leaving, and knowing top FA's more than likey leaving after next season (Nash/Stoudemire/O'Neal), plus the slow start with Coach Porter's new ways. Now this trade gives hope for a team of 4 great and WORTHY veterans (Nash/Shaq/Hill/JRich) and their young extremely able bench (Barnes/Lopez/Barbosa/Tucker) aaand ofcourse Amar'e himself, so basically it's pretty much now or never for the Suns !!

See the thing is when you look at it in terms of how the things are going in Charlotte, Bell isn't going to help them. Especially at his age (I think hes Above Average as a defender, not a best in the leauge really) and add to the fact that both him and Diaw arn't expiring with no picks in return. They have two PGs in Felton/D.J now to, I don't know how singletary will crack that lineup if he wasn't beating out Dragic for playing time.

I also don't think the Cats have a very good young core outside of Felton/D.J and possibly Omeka. Gerald Wallace is one concussion away from retiring and has never impressed me with his offensive game. I can't really name a lot of young depth outside of them, which makes losing a promising foward and insurance policy in Dudley even worse.
and second round pick considering there record is never good to, a lot of good players get picked in the second round.
