Are the Mavericks for real?

It seems like this question comes up every year and the Mavs always do pretty much nothing in the playoffs. However, they just rolled Miami tonight 112-76 to record their 13th straight win and improve their record to a western conference best 39-10. So the question has to be asked again.

Their definitely deep.. maybe deeper then they've ever been. Dirk is also a GREAT player. People always forget to add him to the list of NBA greats.

I just can't buy into them though. I basically have to see it to believe it, and I'm not ready to say they can knock the Spurs off in a 7-game series.

Well that seems to be their only challenge so far in the West. Knocking off the Spurs is a rather daunting task, but if they can do it they're going to the Finals. They have the depth to do it.
