Had my draft yesterday, and Im looking to actually winning the title this year, instead of taking second after losing to my division rival in the championship game.
RB-Frank Gore, SF
RB-Michael Turner, ATL
RB-Lendale White, TEN
RB-Ahmad Bradshaw, NYG
WR-Reggie Wayne, IND
WR-TJ Houshmandzadeh, CIN
WR-Jerry Porter, JAX
WR-Patrick Crayton, DAL
WR-James Hardy, BUF
TE-Dallas Clark, IND
TE-Donald Lee, GB
K-Rob Bironas, TEN
DEF-Minnesota Vikings
DEF-Seattle Seahawks
I think I have a decent, deep, consistent squad. If Gore can comeback from last year, and Turner takes advantage of his new starting role in ATL, then I think im going to be rolling this year.

How many do you play at each position? Point per reception?
I've had two of my three drafts already. Last one is tomorrow.
First one is a keeper league. We're allowed to keep one player drafted rounds 1-5, 1 player drafted 6th or later. 12 teams, 1 QB, 2 RBs, 3 WRs, 1 WR/RB Flex spot, 1 TE, 1 K, 1 DEF. I had the third pick:
Keepers: Adrian Peterson and Kellen Winslow
Rest of roster, in order of round they were drafted:
WR Terrell Owens
QB Carson Palmer
WR Calvin Johnson
WR Chris Chambers
RB Kevin Smith
WR Nate Burleson
RB Ahman Green
DEF San Diego
RB Chester Taylor
RB Ladell Betts
WR Justin Gage
QB Marc Bulger
WR Steve Smith (NYG)
WR Brandon Stokley
K Mason crosby
I've since dropped Steve Smith for Ahmad Bradshaw (stupidly dropped by my friend) and Stokley for Chris Henry of the Bengals

Like Tom, I need to know your scoring and roster systems before I can truly analyze. For instance, if it's PPR, Gore is a really nice running back, while Turner and White lose a lot of value (probably, in Turner's case). Also, unless you start more than one QB and DEF, I'd look to trade either Anderson or Seattle (or Ben or Minnesota, if the value's there) for some depth at WR, where you're pretty thin.
Tom, you're pretty thin at running back, but I like your team everywhere else. I think Calvin Johnson is going to explode this year. Also, I've been baffled all offseason by how underrated Nate Burleson has been in drafts; maybe you're just high on Chris Chambers yourself (I can't imagine why), but there's no reason a guy like Burleson, who's all alone in a big-time pass-first offense, who scored 10 touchdowns last year, should be going two rounds after freakin' Chris Chambers.
EDIT: Just as I'm typing that, Burleson takes a pass 68 yards to the house. Crazy east coast bias.
Well, Chambers had over 900 receiving yards last year. He only scored 4 TDs, but TDs are very luck-dependent. Case in point: Amani Toomer caught 0 TDs in 2004, then 7 in 2005. Plus, all 4 of his TDs came after the trade to the Chargers, so with a full year in a good offense, he might find the end zone more. Seriously though, I've hated drafting this year more than any other year I can remember. There are so few players I feel good about. It's ridiculous. Calvin Johnson, my 3rd round pick (well, technically 5th round pick, considering keepers), was the last pick that I really felt good about. After I took Chambers, the next 5 WRs taken were Santana Moss, Joey Galloway, Jerry Porter, Kevin Curtis, Anthony Gonzalez and Javon Walker. The only one of those guys I like his Gonzalez, but I thought he would make it back to me Seriously, everyone in the NFL sucks now

I agree that TD's aren't a great basis for evaluation; actually my main argument in favour of Burleson is that he's the clear #1 on Seattle, a pass-first team that's been running the same system with the same quarterback and coach for years now.
There's no way Gonzalez, Walker or Porter should go ahead of him, and I'd say the same about Chambers and Curtis (though you likely drafted before Curtis' injury).
Actually, at the time of the draft I didnt know about Seattle's injury problems at WR, and the rest of the league probably didn't either. Also, just to give a little insight as to how the draft went down, and why I ended up so thin at RB...there were 12 teams, two keepers each.
The keepers were:
RBs:
Tomlinson
Peterson
Addai
Westbrook
Larry Johnson
Michael Turner
Portis
Marion Barber III
Earnest Graham
Steven Jackson
Selvin Young
QBs:
Brady
P. Manning
Romo
Roethlisberger
E. Manning (yes, someone kept Eli...)
WRs:
Fitzgerald
Bowe
Santonio Holmes
Wayne
Jennings
TEs:
Witten
Winslow
Vernon Davis
I had the third pick, Gore went first, Randy Moss second. So, at this point, 12 RBs were off the board, and I had the consensus #2 RB (Peterson). Thus, I thought taking Owens was a no-brainer. After all, my choice was either the #10 or so RB, or the #2 WR. Obviously, the WR was the smart choice.
After I took Owens, six more WRs went consecutively: Housh, Edwards, Welker, Andre Johnson, Colston, Chad Johnson. Then 5 more WRs in the 2nd round before it came back to me: Burress, Smith, Holt, Boldin, Roddy White, Marvin Harrison. Plus, the following RBs got taken: Lynch, Jones-Drew, Parker, McGahee, Grant. also, Drew Brees got taken.
So now it's back to me. At this point, 17 RBs have been taken, 18 WRs have been taken. I looked at the QB list and saw a HUGE dropoff after Palmer. So, it was either take Palmer there, or don't take a QB for like 4 or 5 rounds. Also, I thought I could maybe get Jacobs or McFadden on the turnaround, since I only needed them to get past 2 people. Unfortunately, those two guys took McFadden, Jacobs, and Reggie Bush (someone who should do well in a PPR league) with their picks, along with Roy Williams. So now, 20 RBs are off the board, and I need at least two more WRs to start, so I decided to go WR (Calvin Johnson). at this point, there was still potential stud WRs out there, but only questionable RBs (Maroney, Jamal Lewis, LenDale White, the Jones brothers, etc).
So, I decided I would try to be strong in the other positions, and try to pick out a gem, either with Kevin Smith, or this year's big waiver wire pick-up that comes out of nowhere, like Ryan Grant or Earnest Graham last year.

For some strange reason, it's not letting me move down a line when I hit enter...sorry for what looks like a big run-on sentence

I dont play in a TD only league, so Receptions and yards play into it. I like my current WR staff, and will perhaps trade down the line for another 3rd string WR in case Porter doesnt come back or just flat out shits the bed.
im also the leagues waiver wire king, so im looking there to see what WR makes noise.
