How do you get through the slow period...

Between the Super Bowl and the NCAA Tournament/baseball season.

The six weeks in between is probably the slowest time for U.S. Sports. Basketball and hockey are in the middle fo their seasons, so each game matters little. If you're a NASCAR fan you have the Daytona 500, and I think there's some golf or something. Plus there's the Winter Olympics this year.

But seriously, once the Super Bowl is done, I have nothing to look forward to until the college basketball conference championships, which are in the middle of March.

How the hell can I pass the time between now and then?

That's a good question Tom, I've never been able to figure out what to do because it's still so damn cold as well, so nobody really likes to go anywhere. i watch wrestling but not much else other than that. I usually end up watching a lot of movies I haven't seen.

You could always play some sports video games. EA's college baseball game comes out in February, and it uses the same engine that the MVP series did.

I enjoy the NBA and college basketball enough to enjoy the regular season. Plus there's always the NFL draft.

All the more reason to wait for MLB 2K6!

(I hate the MVP engine)

I liked the MVP games. The new issue of EGM(which I STILL haven't gotten yet) gave a medicore review to NCAA MVP(around 7), but it's the only college baseball game out there.

Yeah, because EA forced VC's hand in the exclusivity thing. Although for my money (and as always, YMMV) the MLB series is infinitely better than the MVP series, even with the franchise bugs.

I have to admitt 2K Sports was pretty smart in the MLB deal, all it did basically was stop EA from making MLB games since the 3 console companies can still make baseball games.

I'm just happy that with 2K will be realeasing a GameCube version of MLB 2K this year so GC owners won't have to go without a MLB game this year.
