Re: Official NBA Playoffs 2008 Thread

the most intriguing thing about the playoffs thus far has to be this Sixers/Pistons series I am currently watching.

Sixers were a team that was horrible during most of the season, but they started to pour it on at the end.. they've found the right mix on the court, bunch of young athletic players who want to run and with Dalembert protecting the rim on defense..

So they're up now 2-1 in the series on the heavily favored Pistons and leading at the half by 10 here in game 4.

Re: Official NBA Playoffs 2008 Thread

Is anyone else shocked Boston lost 2 to Atlanta? I mean I think they'll still win the series... but whatsupwitdat? I seriously thought Boston was a lock for a sweep. I was even skeptical about calling it a five game series.

Detroit as well. I figured a five-game series here that Detroit would lose one in Philly but never in my dreams did I see 2-2. Again I don't think Detroit is going to lose but...wtf.

Atlanta and Philly teams to watch next year?

I'm not really on this because the Hawks did win them both at home but wow.

Boston = Whole city on Superbowl hangover

IMO of course, Or it could just be that The Hawks are a decent team when they feel like playing.

Re: Official NBA Playoffs 2008 Thread

Well.. the records of both the Hawks and Sixers are misleading as well. Yes, I'm shocked, but these two teams aren't the same two teams that began the season and looked dreadful.. Atlanta as an example, added Mike Bibby as the trade deadline.

These two teams have a lot in common, actually. First.. they have both found everyone a role on their team.. finally.. they are both athletic as hell and very young which creates problems for the slow-paced veteran teams of Boston and Detroit, and they both have a solid point guard who can create when the offense breaks down.. Atlanta with Bibby and the Sixers with Andre Miller.

I still see Detroit and Boston both advancing, but yes.. these two teams could be decent next year.

Hawks are good talented and young. But I seriously am totally shocked Boston's lost two now. I don't think Atlanta can win in the Garden so I think Boston is still gonna win. But I've almost never been so sure about a sweep in my life. I figured Toronto/Orlando would be 2-2 not Boston/Atlanta

Yeah I will be most shocked if either team wins another game to be honest. I don't see it happening. The addition of Bibby was tremendous for Atlanta. This is a very very interesting team. But both Philly and ATL are playing out of their minds as of late.

Re: Official NBA Playoffs 2008 Thread

I guess well see, I think if the Hawks pull even one win in the garden, theyve got the series otherwise the Celtics have it locked still. The Celtics made a big mistake trading Al Jefferson >.>, he would have dominated this series
