Disapointing Wild Card Round

Well, I watched most of all 4 games this weekend between my house, my friend's house, and the bar and I was pretty disapointed by the overall play in all games.

I was really excited about the NFL playoffs earlier this week, and I'll still watch next week's games of course.. but man.. was this week shitty or what?

First you have the Skins who get a total of 120 yards of offense and win. I mean the game was close w/ the Bucs but boring as hell.

Then the Pats basically play like the Pats. Good performance overall by them. The Jags won 12 games this year and were dominated. Fine.. it was close in the first half but after that forget about it.

Giants got dominated. They couldn't stop the run and they couldn't generate any offense period. I think the Panthers controlled the ball for 45 minutes. Holy Shit! Who the hell is DeShaun Foster and Nick Goings? Just kidding, I know who they are but they shouldn't be that dominating.

Then there's the Bengals/Steelers. I thought that'd same the week but Palmer went down right away and that was that. I kept watching.. it was fun while the Bengals were leading even with Kitna as QB but I knew they couldn't hold it. Too bad about Palmer.

Honestly, me and every other fan felt like we were in a coma after that Giants game.

The only Giant who had some semblance of a good game was Michael Strahan (2 sacks). The tackling was absolutely terrible, the offensive line couldn't open holes for Tiki or protect Eli, Eli couldnt throw the ball, Plaxico didnt catch a single pass...This was an embarrassment to watch

Well D, there is always the Patriots band wagon. We have plenty of room. haha.

That game was a freaking mess yesterday. I watched a good amount of it and thought the whole time. "Man, this game sucks"

Looks like you guys were right with Eli's inconsistency.

I also think it was bullshit that the Benglas go a whole season kicking ass (for the Bengals) only to have their playoff hopes beat down into the ground by some fat offensive lineman falling into Palmers leg.

Torn ACL and MCL is the results of the MRI

Pats vs. Denver next week. Pats are the underdog. Go figure.

Bengals were my pick to win it all so it sucked to see Palmer go down like that. And I agree that none of the games were very good.

This is true Freak, nothing can really top that.

But seriously, I'm Niner fan, I've never felt bad for a Giants fan in my life but that must have been horrible for Tom to watch that shit yesterday.

And Dan, I have no freaking clue why the Broncos are the favorite. Would you bet on Jake Plummer? Hell no.

I can see why the Broncs would be favored.

1. They are playing at home
2. They had a better record than the Patriots.
3. They had a week to rest up, heal injuries, and prepare.
4. Denver's "home-field advantage", as measured by the all-time difference between home and away records, is the biggest in the NFL.

do I think the Broncos will win? No. But I can see why they are favored

I guess it's because I just don't take that team seriously. After what the Colts have done to them, and then having to rely on Plummer while the Pats have Brady.. There's just no way I could ever bet on The Broncos to win that game. Could they? Maybe.. But I highly doubt it.

I actually enjoyed this weekend of playoffs, aside from Washington winning. It was a shame Palmer went down, but I don't think it would have changed the outcome. The Steelers are looking scary. The AFC is overloaded anymore, kind of how the NFC used to be 10 years ago.
