I'd love to see the Niners pick up a receiver like a Manningham or Jackson.. but I don't know.. they need a big play wide receiver in the worst way.

I don't think Manningham nor Jackson are really good fits atm for the Niners.

I'd like to see the Packers pick up secondary help. I'm not really enthusiastic about anyone for them though.

One guy I'm curious is the guy I mentioned early this year in Joe Flacco. I never thought he was 2nd Round good but some people think he is. Also some people have Brian Brohm falling to Round 2!

Why not? They are both big play wide receivers and Martz loves to make the quick hit.. Smith needs weapons desperately.

The quarterback situation this year is the most interesting it's been since I started watching the draft. At the top, you've got Matt Ryan, who could logically go anywhere between 1 and 17, but it doesn't get really interesting until you try to sort out who teams have ranked #2, and where that guy will go. I've seen some mocks give Brohm to the Bears or Vikings at 14 and 17 respectively, but I'd expect he'll fall further than that, possibly out of the first round, and possibly behind Flacco and Chad Henne (that's right, Henne's a late-1st-rounder on some boards). If one or more teams in the top 5 pass on Ryan, it wouldn't surprise me at all to see those teams trying to trade back up into the late stages of the 1st to get their quarterback. And none of that's even accounting for intriguing prospects like Josh Johnson, Andre Woodson, Kevin O'Connell, etc.

As for the Packers, I really think they're in position to simply take the best player available. There are no glaring needs on offense or defense, though if it would be nice if the BPA was an OT, OG or CB. I was really into OG/OT Branden Albert for a while, but he's flown up the boards in recent weeks, way out of GB's reach.

Honestly, this year's WR crop isn't special enough at the top for the 49ers to spend their 1st-rounder on one -- not when they have huuuuuge needs on the offensive line. But I do think a bunch of solid WRs will be available in the 2nd and 3rd.

Yes, but the Niners aren't picking until later on and I expect the 4 OT's and even Albert to be gone by then.

Brandon Albert needs to fall to the chargers for me to be happy to be honest, I wont be happy with Kenny Phillips, I wont be happy with any other Offensive linemen. Outside of that I hope we trade with the Falcons for a couple second rounders to maximize value and draft Trevor Laws and Tom Zibikowski for my own selfish needs. That oddly match up with what we need

On Brohm falling out of round 1...I just don't see it. Hes either trade bait or somebody picks him up via trading up, probably Atlanta

Also, I will get back into rooting for the Falcons - despite Michael Vick and Deangelo Hall - if they draft Matt Ryan.
