Fabregas signs 8 year deal!!!

Francesc Fabregas has signed a new eight-year deal at Arsenal that will commit him to the Gunners until 2014.

Fabregas said: "I am so happy here and I am delighted to have signed this new contract.

"I wanted to pay back the club, especially Arsène Wenger for the support and faith he has shown in me.

"What is important now is for the team to realise its potential and win trophies. That is our main aim, that is my aim as well."

Real Madrid had expressed an interest in signing the Spanish international but unlike José Antonio Reyes, Fabregas made it clear that he was happy at Arsenal and was committed to Arsène Wenger's cause.

Essien = £24 million (or thereabouts) and a above average player. he cant change games on his own and is not irreplaceable.

Fabregas = Free and a future Arsenal captain. has amazing consistancy and remember how he humiliated Vieira last season? Thats the kind of midfielder you want.

At Chelsea i dont see any reason for Essien to even be there. Mackele is your best player and holds your team together. Lampard takes plenty of shots and is a good playmaker (when hes not taking a shot nearly every time he gets the ball).

For me your attack should be:

Robben Lampard Mackele Ballack Wright-Phillips
Drogba

With Sheva on the bench coming on as a sub for a mid fielder to change to 4-4-2

Shevcenko is plain shit, Drogba is one of the best underrated footballers in europe, lampard is getting crapper by every week IMO, Mackele is pure brilliant and Wright-Phillips shouldve went to arsenal, cause he would have had more games and Robbe i can decribe in one word - GENIOUS.

i agree 100% on drogba, i wish he went to arsenal intead but he didnt. at first i wasent impressed with him in england, i thought crespo was better. this season drogba has shown his worth. if he picks up an injury and misses a good few games i really think chelsea will suffer this season. drogba goes down, chelseas title hopes go down.

Indeed Drogba is IMO the most in form player in the EPL, and maybe the best right now for chelsea. I wouldnt doubt after his contract exspires he will go to Barcca or maybe even Madrid, who knows. If they lose him by injury they will strugle but they wont lose the epl.
