The AFC Run Down...

AFC:

Baltimore Ravens- The Ravens look excellent this year. Great defense and a good solid running offense. They are way past last season and look for them to sky rocket in their division. Steve McNair is an excellent addition over Kyle.

Buffalo Bills- Different Season, same 'ol Bills. They are at the same place they were last year. A solid overall team, but they just don't have that special thing to put them over. Look for a mediocre season here.

Cincinnati Bengals- Bam?! or BAM?! he is back.. and he is hungry.. Carson Palmer looks for redempton after being taken out of the picture in the playoffs against the steelers when he knee was in lesser words, destroyed. The Bengals look good. Carson looks crisp. Chad looks dangerous. All the way?...well.. ask yourself.. can their defense take it?

Cleveland Browns- Has anyone ever seen a competive Browns team in their lifetime? I haven't.. Don't hope anything Browns fans... maybe a winning season first...

Denver Broncos- Eh, they lost it.. they were great last year, but.. slightly worse this year. IMO they aren't going to have that.. competive streak that glided them to the AFC championship game.

Houston Texans- Keep working.. all I got to say. Anything this year, will be better than last.

Indianapolis Colts- How many balls can Peyton throw.. and how much can their defense withstand? Without James to run.. look for the vintage Manning we used to see.

Jacksonville Jaguars- Playoff run? Very possible. They are looking good in their line up and showed themselves to be a complete team against Dallas. But.. do they have what it takes?

Kansas City Chiefs- Ehh... It's just not working. Cheifs are the same as they were last year. Larry Johnson should make a good impact but Green is running out...

Miami Dolphins- Good. Not great. Good. 9-7 team.

New England Patriots- How long can Brady keep this up? Not long enough for a deep playoff run. Better luck next season guys.. keep it up though. 10-6?

New York Jets- Flashy and complete. But will they win their division? possibly, but don't look for that Lambardi trophy in their showcase anytime soon.

Oakland Raiders- Who's Randy Moss? That question will be asked lots this weekend. Aaron Brooks just isn't consistent enough to take this team anywhere.

Pittsburgh Steelers- Same Steelers? Or a less team? Lesser team is correct! Loss of a great reciever answered by what? Nothing.. Bettis is retired! Who's gonna back you up Parker?!.. Look for a playoff run, maybe a wildcard.

San Diego Chargers- This team is looking good, but it's all up to how good Rivers really is. Will he compete like Brees did? No. He won't. But 3/4 of that would send this team where they failed to go last year. LT is a titan. Just give 'em the ball.

Tennesee Titans- They just aren't gonna' get better. Thet ruined the team 2 seasons ago. 'And it's gonna take awhile for them to even think about the super bowl or a playoff berth.

NFC coming soon...

The Broncos only had one game were they had one player responsible for 4 turnovers, and yet the defense kept them into the game... SO I don't see how you could conclude they lost it after one game where the defense had an amazing showing and the offense just had one player foul it up. They will be AFC West Champs this year and I expect them once again to be in the AFC championship game if not the Super Bowl.

If the chargers can just let rivers manage a game like he did on monday night the offense should be fine. they have Gates and McCardell to count when he has to pass and LT will approach 100 yds. every game with Michael Turner pitching in 30-40.

The question is can the defense play like they did monday night? Is shawn Merriman really that good or were the Raiders that bad? It really looks like the Raiders are just a crummy team. The chargers have a weak secondary so they may have legitimate concerns when they play a team that doesn't allow 9 sacks a game.

I'll throw some thoughts around on other teams when i have the time but like Thew, I'm more of an NFC guy.

Let's start off with the Jets. You say the might win the division this year. Are you mad? They had a close call against the sorry Titans, in a game their Quarterback played out of this world. They didn't look impressive, they snuck out with in Tennesse, I say 6 -7 win is good for them.

Chiefs- Smae as last year? They lost perrenial all-pro Willie Roaf. They are far from what they were last year. I liked him the before the season but now with Green out for at lteast 2 games and the lack of running game, against the Bengals no less, I'm nbot sure they can get more than 8 wins.

Broncos- I'm partial because they're my favorite team but like Griff said we were on the road and almost won a game we should have lost by 3 touchdowns. I know Plummer looked bad but I think he'll bounce back well against the Chiefs and quiet the Cutler mumblings.

Jaguars- they are way underrated, they went 12-4 last year and almost nobody spoke of them. The 4th year is the time for Leftwich to shine. I know they lack recievers but Williams has some experience now and both he and Leftwich should have their best seasons yet as should the Jags, I expect big things from them this year.

Meh, thats the only real "beefs" I have with your rundown. Maybe your right but I disagree and we'll just have to wait and see.

Good job man. I can respect you beef with it lol, that's what replies for for man.

'And I was also being partial since I don't like Broncos at all, sorry lol but I just don't see them taking the Super Bowl this year

The ravens - like 1/6 of this team is former Titans. Mason, Mcnair and some others.

Colt - Should have a great year again. Absolutly dominating the Texans. JAgs are the only ones I see being near the Colts for this division. So I think I might see Colts winning their division this year. Jags could sneak attack, but to me very doubtful.

Chargers - Seems likee the start of a beautiful season for them. Manhandaling the Titans. They have a very good and very young threat in their QB (IMO) and he can got a long ways. So good Recievers and 2 or 3 great halfbacks. I think this could very well be their season for an AFC championship. Well just have to wait and see.
