Green Bay Packers quarterback Brett Favre has decided to retire.
ESPN's Chris Mortensen reported that according to Favre's agent, Buss Cook, Favre informed Packers coach Mike McCarthy of his decision Monday night.
He will definitely be missed by the Packers and by a lot of fans.

I really was hoping he wouldn't retire this offseason. Favre had one hell of a career, that's for sure. He will be missed. I really thought that after the season he had, he would be back for one more. Favre had said towards the end of the season that he felt like he still had more left in him, and was leaning towards playing another season.
Either way, it was fun watching him play, and now the Packers enter the next stage.

He had a great career, and his career will be rightfully remembered as one of the best in NFL history.
However, I am quite thankful I dont have to deal with the constant ass-kissing by the likes of Peter King and John Madden
