Michael Turner, who has been the Chargers' insurance policy for LaDainian Tomlinson, agreed to join the Falcons on Sunday. A source told ESPN.com's Michael Smith that Turner agreed to a six-year contract believed to be worth $34.5 million, with approximately $15 million guaranteed.
I guess they don't believe in Jerious Norwood T.T

wait are you saying Magic Johnson is black, has AIDS and has it better than ME?
I guess not. I know Turner has been great in San Diego but is there substantial $35M evidence that he can be the guy? It looks like its the season for ridiculous contracts. Don't get me started on Samuel's deal.
God damnit, I hope they don't draft Ryan, I hope they don't draft Ryan, I hope they don't draft Ryan.
And I think there is Blade, Turners been very effective everytime LTs went down and been THE best back up in the leauge. Coming from a Chargers fan I'm beside myself that Turner had to leave..

Regardless of his price-tag (because I've now completely lost track of what "value" is in this NFL), this seems like a pretty good move for Atlanta. At first glance, neither Turner nor Norwood appear to be guys who can carry 25 times per game, but in tandem, I think they really complement each other in terms of different running styles.
But obviously the acquisition means nothing if the Falcons don't fix their QB and offensive line.
