Re: NFL Offseason Thread 2008 (for the little things)

Yeah the Browns are making some great moves these past few offseasons, first the draft last year and Jamal Lewis, now they've got Lewis coming back, two starting QBs on there roster and improving there Dline. If they get a LB and Stallworth they'll be a team to watch next year for sure. The only problem they have is having no picks till the 4th round of the draft.

EDIT: 49ers are cleanig up, they just signed DE Justin Smith to a 6 year 45 mill deal, I'd have to say theyve had the best FA period so far.

Really good at getting old and burned by Philip Rivers

I'm suprised no bodys mentioned Takeo Spikes being released, he could be a great line backer for somebody.

Does that make you happy Mr. Cool?

Not really...

Too many unknown factors and they need more improvement on the o line before the running game will improve.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are bringing back one of the most popular players in franchise history, signing free-agent running back Warrick Dunn on Monday night.

Dunn was drafted in the first round by Tampa Bay in 1997 and was the team's feature back until leaving for Atlanta in 2002. He remains third on the team's all-time rushing list with 4,200 yards. The Bucs initially let Dunn go because of concerns about salary cap space and his durability.

But Dunn proved those doubts wrong in Atlanta, rushing for 5,979 yards in the past six seasons. Dunn was released by Atlanta last week after the Falcons brought in free agent Michael Turner from San Diego.

Dunn is 33 and one of only 22 players in NFL history to rush for more than 10,000 yards. He isn't expected to be a feature back in this stint with the Bucs, but he could share time in a backfield that may have to start the season without Carnell Williams, who is coming off a major knee injury.

Pat Yasinskas covers the NFL for ESPN.com.
Good for Dunn, He should get a decent amount of snaps there with williams coming back from injury..or being the #1 back

Re: NFL Offseason Thread 2008 (for the little things)

Just heard the Lions signed Tatum Bell and I guess the other day they signed Brian Kelly as well. Does this spell the end for Jones?

I didn't drop the belt to RVD because no one asked me to drop it to RVD. I've yet to see Hulk Hogan lose to anybody. He wrestles once every 6 months, and it doesn't matter if you're the biggest name in active competition today, he's not going to lose to you. There was suppose to be a Hogan/Michaels 2, and Hogan was supposed to lose. All of a sudden his knee starting "bugging" him.
