The Atlanta Falcons continued their franchise makeover in earnest on Friday, releasing tight eend Alge Crumpler, quarterback quarterback Byron Leftwich, offensive tackle Wayne Gandy and four other players.
The team also announced it had released cornerback Lewis Sanders, wide receiver Jamin Elliott, linebacker Marcus Wilkins and defensive tackle Rod Coleman.
Can't say I saw the release of Alge Crumpler coming

Crumpler is underrated and was the major reason that Vick was even sorta good in the first place.

A team like the Panthers could really use a guy like Crumpler, hopefully he lands on a good team. Hes always been one of my favorite guys on the Falcons (even though I dislike the team as a whole)

Did you ever watch Vick play? This is a serious question, because I don't believe you have, at least not in his first few years. He made plays that SAVED his team all the time.. He won games almost single handedly. He was never a great passer though and that's why it was so ridiculous whne they changed their offense into timing routes.

Crumpler is a quality player...that move has me scratching my head a little bit...

I heard this morning that the Giants are talking to the Falcons about trading for DeAngelo Hall.
Hall is talented as fuck, but he seems like a bit of a loudmouth. Not sure how he would get along with Coughlin
