I'm ecstatic about this. They were interested in Giants D-coordinator Steve Spagnuolo, who has done an AMAZING job this year. I didnt want to see him go.

This Smith guy has his work cut out for him. Hopefully next year he's smart enough to let the guy who averages 6 yards per carry (Jerious Norwood) run the ball more than the guy who averages 3 yards per carry (Warrick Dunn)

Seems like a decent hire, the Jags have always been solid on defense. I just hope they don't draft an option QB and make him run a west coast offense.

I don't understand this hire at all. Now maybe I'm mistaken, and Smith isn't the sort of "puppet" figure he's been made out to be during his time in Jacksonville (I've read that Del Rio truly serves as DC)...

I really wish they would have taken fucking Spaghetticock away from the Giants.
