I don't get it. I'm not sure how much quotes really matter especially come playoff time, these guys shouldn't need extra incentives to by hyped up.. but with Owens.. he's always been a guy that determined to prove doubters wrong, shove it in their face, and he's already a renowned "Giant Killer".. kinda dumb for Burress to try and rile the guy up.

Exactly.

wait are you saying Magic Johnson is black, has AIDS and has it better than ME?
I'm pretty sure it was a joke. They asked Burress if he had any advice for Owens because Plaxico has been dealing with an ankle injury all season.
It's no different than when Tom Brady said Tom Coughlin should rest Osi and Strahan against the Patriots

The bottom line is that it's always great to see teams in the playoffs match up as close to 100% as possible, so having T.O. on the field would help find a decisive winner. Although, I don't know the extent of his injury really.
I am looking back to Owens' time on the Eagles, where he sat out the playoffs only to play in the Superbowl against the Patriots. He wasn't a factor in that, and it was because of his injury.
It would be great to have Owens' in the game, but if it is a threat to his health or he won't be a factor in the game, it's best to keep him on the sidelines.
Jayman, Owens had 9 catches for 122 yards in the Super Bowl after coming back from his injury...
