Anyone see some upsets happening? Jags have a great shot at beating the patriots if they can get a head of steam on them, the Pats defense has been exposed in a million ways in the second half of the season but they come up clutch if its close. Washington might be able to beat seattle to, San Diego probably falls in the wild card due to injurys (Rivers, Lo Neal, Williams) from the last Titans games.

Re: NFL Playoff Picture Finally Set

I like the Chargers, Jags, Giants, and Redskins.

The Titans cannot score at all so I don't see how they can even stay with SD the way LT and co. are rolling along. The Giants are coming off a huge game against NE, I don't like Tampa at all right now. They haven't played a meaningful game in forever. The Steelers just haven't looked good, the Jags have their two backs rolling and while I like Seattle at home, something tells me the skins are on a bit of a ride here..

The Chargers have some serious momentum, but I really like Green Bay.

Re: NFL Playoff Picture Finally Set

I don't know about the Chargers, they have momentum yes but Rivers' knee injury is hurting him more then he'll let on to the press. Watching the Raider game he couldn't drop back right and plant on that leg which in drop backs can be avoided but when the Raiders fulshed him out of the pocket he couldn't throw the ball because of it.

IF the Chargers beat Tennesse with gimp Rivers I'd give them a good shot at beating New England in the Razor. Strong run game to take advantage of the soft run D of NE, good Pass rush and Coverage in the secondary. They could give them a run for there money if Merriman,Phillips and Cooper keep playing like thay have been.

Re: NFL Playoff Picture Finally Set

I think the Colts, Jags, and Chargers all match up pretty well with New England. The Colts have great speed on defense which gave the Pats all kinds of fits in the first game, plus.. the Pats haven't improved a damn bit in the secondary where the Colts lit them up in last year's AFC championship game. Add to the fact the Pats had trouble with Addai and I could see the Colts giving them a hard time. the Jags have been able to run on anyone with Jones-Drew and Taylor plus they also have a solid defense but I worry about Garrard in a big spot. The Chargers as you said have a few things that could give the Pats trouble as well as TOL pointed out, if LT can really get it going maybe they can keep that Pats offense off the field.

Regardless, the Pats will be favored in any game and have the homefield so obviously they'll be an extremely tough out.

I wouldn't count out the Redskins, just to pull out a fun fact. Seahawks are 10-6 with the easiest schedule in the leauge statisticly speaking (Opponents Win Loss, 106/150) Redskins are 9-7 with the second hardest schedule in the leauge statisticly speaking (Opponents Win Loss 142/114) and have won 3 of those without one of there best players and almost a full season with Jason Campbell.

Patriots have the 9th ranked schedule in terms of combined records of teams faced(120/136)...just sayin'

Now assuming those stats mean dick all in the playoffs, Its going to be a close game probably, one of the two I'm going out of my way to watch next week.

Re: NFL Playoff Picture Finally Set

Well I am not feeling good about the cowboys chance in the playoffs at all. I would be surprised if they win one playoff game. They have played horrible the last 4 games.

they'll be fine...they'll play either the Bucs, Giants, or Redskins...and I'd take the Cowboys over any of those three, easily
