Re: NFL Playoff Discussion

Valiant effort by the Chargers defense, but you can't expect them to hold the Patriots scoreless. The Chargers fucked everything up inside the 20. Played way too conservative down there and settled for FGs. It was almost like they were trying to not get blown out than to actually win the game. That's why Norv Turner should be fired on the spot. He's never been a big coach and he never will be.

Tomlinson should be ashamed and I never want to hear his name in the same breathe as Smith, Brown, or Sanders.

The Patriots are going to the Super Bowl so congrats to them.. I'll wait until after that game to analyze where I believe they rank on the all-time list.

Jim Nance and Phil Simms can fuck off. They do nothing but praise Brady, Harrison, etc.. they never blame anything on Brady, even when he threw three interceptions today, 2 which were definitely his own fault. They do everything short of blowing the linemen in the locker room.

On a lighter note, Giants/Packers NEXT! LIVE from Lambeau Field.

Re: NFL Playoff Discussion

Giants/Pack should be better.

I'm pretty disapointed in LTs heart unless it comes out that his MCL, ACL,PCL,XCL,YCL have all been shreaded and his knee went Shaun Livingston on him, I don't think I'll be happy with him till next season. Rivers played his heart out, Jackson played his heart out, Chambers played his heart and there D was great. You can't shut down the Pats offense but they made Brady look as bad as he has this year thats for sure.

Jammer,Cro and Even D.Flo were dominating there Recievers when they needed to, Jammer did a great job at roughing up Moss and Stallworth, Cromartie toke Moss out with the Help of Hart and McCree playing solid over the top. Sadly they got tired and the LBs missed tackles on there RBs.

Great season, shitty end.

EDIT:

WOW, Giants/Packers was a great game...Gaints vs Pats in the superbowl

Re: NFL Playoff Discussion

Congrats to the Giants. What a game. I hope they put up a good fight with the pats.

I am really excited for Eli. Now, we dont have to hear he isnt his big brother, or the giants need to trade him. He is looking great and he seems like a good guy.

Congrats Giants fans!

Re: NFL Playoff Discussion

Wow, that was an amazing game. I have to say though I was quite peeved at Brandon Jacobs in the endzone. He's definitely an asshole in my book, he's lucky he didn't get beer bottles tossed at him. And some of the non-calls were ridiculous in my opinion, but in the end, the Giants pulled through, I wish I had a voice recorder, you guys wouldn't believe how loud it was there. When Tynes missed the field goals, it was epic. Anyway, in the end Favre couldn't get it done. Hope he comes back for one last hurrah.

However sadly, much like the National Championship, I'm quite disinterested in the Super Bowl.

Re: NFL Playoff Discussion

I don't even know where to begin with the Giants/Packers.. what a fucking roller coaster of a ride that was. Twists and turns.. I was very impressed with both teams, because no matter how much they hurt, no matter how many times they fucked themselves over, they kept fighting through the adversity..

I wish I could say the same about LaDainian Tomlinson. What a bum.

Congrats to the Giants though! nobody loves taking the piss out of them more than me but they've definitely proved their worth this post-season. I'm worried about this Super Bowl now not because I don't think the Giants can do some things well.. but because Bill Bellichick is getting two weeks to correct the issues his team had in the 1st game. Lets hope the Pats D plays another clunker and gives up 500 yards of total offense. Osi and Strahan, go earn your money!

More weekend props to the Chargers defense. Props to Phillip Rivers. He could be my quarterback any day..

And I can stress enough how Norv Turner should be fired?

Re: NFL Playoff Discussion

Hey SS, I hope you had a good time at the game. I know it was feeezing cold, and the home team didnt win, but it still must have been cool to be at a conference championship game on that legendary field.

btw, what did Jacobs do? I was busy high-fiving people after he scored, I didnt see what he did after the play

also, i just needed to comment on Norv Turner's poor coaching. Punting in Patriots territory down two scores with 7 minutes left was an AWFUL decision. It was almost certain that the Patriots were either going to score again or hold the ball the rest of the game (which is what they did). Just a poor poor decision on his part.

Yeah, I love L.T but hes the face of the Franchise sitting on the bench hidden behind a dark visor and wraped in a jacket. Not rallying his team or helping coaches, just there sidelined with a "Sore Knee" after 3 plays. Thank god for Philp Rivers with a strained MCL in his left knee and a partialy torn ACL in his right knee he still played his heart out (threw 2 picks, one of which should have been a leg whip penalty on Vrabel). He certainly moved up on my list, maybe even above LT >.>

I wouldn't worry about it too much though.. The Chargers have a bright bright future. They'll be back.

Re: NFL Playoff Discussion

Well according to the people who sat there, they said after the game, that Jacobs said while he faked a Lambeau Leap, "You don't think I'd jump at a bunch of whiny alcoholics do you?"

I really wasn't to concerned with who won, I was just happy to be at Lambeau. Unfortunately, the Giants fans who made the trip, weren't hospitable in the least bit, at least in my section. Simply inexcusable behavior drunk or not. Throwing beer bottles, shoving on the stairs, shouting Fuck You to the fans everytime the Pack screwed up. I mean I was at the Metrodome for a Pack/Vikings game{You Wanna Talk LOUD? Guarantee nothing like it) There was nothing of the sort, in fact besides the trash talking, which you'd expect out of rivals, it was quite enjoyable. Either way, it kinda sucks that fans kinda ruined my experience.
