From reading recent things on this board, and in general I'm going to present this scenario. I think this will be a good discussion, and I'd like to see other people's viewpoints.
This pertains to the NFL by the way before I get into it.
You end up picking up 2 tickets to a local nfl team's regular season game.
You shell out around $400 for some great seats. 2 tickets.
You get to the stadium fairly earlier pregame a little bit. You go in there about 20 minutes before the game starts. End up spending 10 bucks right off the bat on two beers. Another 10 on a hotdog, and some nachos. Your $20 deep already, but it's fine you are about to experience an NFL game. You don't care about spending a little extra. It's all about the experience.
The game starts your team is looking real solid, they charge down the field with ease. They end up scoring within a few minutes of the first kick off your team is up 7-0.
Fast forward to late in the second quarter. Your team is up 28-14. The other team looks pretty lost, and your team is in the red zone. 2 minute warning. Your team ends up scoring on a quick pass play. The scored 35-14 right now. You are feeling good, and feel like your investment was worth it.
Half time is over to the third quarter we go. Your team is receiving. They get the ball, and right away run it back for a touchdown. 42-14. Your coach decides to put in all backups now for the rest of the game on offense. You have your 2nd string quarterback in, and second string running back. They are running basic plays, and only going for short yards. You realize that for the rest of the game you are going to basically watch them wait for the clock to run out. Sure you watched a great first half in which your team totally dismantled the other team, but you feel sort of cheated that you spent all that money, for 30 minutes actual playing time.
Now at this point would you be totally satisfied that you got your money's worth? Or would you somewhat feel pissed you just shelled out around 500 bucks total for a half of top level football.
Now give your honest opinion as a fan sitting in the stands shelling out that kind of money.
