Re: Hawaii fans are crazy

Their primary slot reciever, Davone Bess, is around 15-25 as far as WR's go. He's only a Junior so he could stay one more year. It doesn't help his stock that WR is a loaded with talent this year in my opinion.

Ryan Grice-Mullen, also a Junior hasn't made many draft boards and it's expected that he'll stay. From what I've heard is that he's rated around 18-22 for the class of 2009

Jason Rivers, the senior, isn't too highly thought of from what I've seen, he's ranked mid-to-late 20's from what I've seen in the WR category.

Do that many WR usually go in the draft? 25+? I have no idea.. How about CJ Hawthorne? I think he's a senior too..

Why should they be any different? One was a major upset, the other has the potential to be just as shocking an outcome.

If you really do want to compare them though, keep in mind Oklahoma had one of the worst starting QBs in the country last year, and Boise State's defense is significantly better than what Hawaii's got.

I don't agree with writers who are getting so far ahead of themselves that they're no longer paying attention to this game -- that's just not their job -- but if anyone wants to predict Georgia winning big, it doesn't bother me at all.

Re: Hawaii fans are crazy

Well, I agree those writers went overboard with the things that were written in their articles. Yes, Hawaii deserves to be in the Sugar Bowl. They won all of their games and it is hard for anyteam to go undefeated in the regular season no matter which conference a team plays in.

As far as Hawaii defeating Georgia goes is a different story. Can it be done.. Hell yes it can be or else why would they even play the game. Do I think it will happen? No. Yes, Hawaii has a damn good QB (and a good 2nd string QB in Graunke) and a pretty solid WR (three players with over 1,000 yds is unheard of) core but, the ground game is almost totally non-existant with a little under 80 yards a game avg (This is were 2006 Boise St. and 2007 Hawaii begin to stop being simular). To defeat UGA, Hawaii is going to have to be more balanced because UGA is known for being a defensive Juggarnaut. Just see the NFL for references (Thurman, Seymore, Stroud, and both Boss and Champ Bailey to name a few). I think the key to winning the game is going to be whether or not UGA's defensive front can get enough pressure on Brennan to make something happen. I do not see this game being a blow out by any means and the Dawgs better be ready to represent.
