So College and NFL fans. I dont follow college as much as I would like Tebows name is one you can't ignore
Hook a homeboy up with some 411.
How will he translate to the NFL? He is the first player in college history to throw for 20 and rush for 20 TD's. That sounds pretty insane if you ask me.
But what will his role be on a NFL team? How is his arm? Would he be better as a running back? Would you structure a whole offense around him ala Michael Vick? Would it work?
So many questions.

Some team will draft him talking about how he will revolutionize the QB position, how he's the evolution of the position, etc.
That team will then give him a plain vanilla offense and try to force him to be a dropback QB, pocket passer, whatever the fuck you want to call it.
He will not win the Super Bowl within his first three years in the league, and people will call him a bust despite the fact that he's still only 25 years old, conveniently forgetting that shitbags like Trent Dilfer and Brad Johnson have won the Super Bowl within the last 10 years. He will be held to the impossible Brady/Roethlisberger standard: "Win it all within 3 years or you fucking suck"
Fin.

He will end up like Chad Pennington and Byron Leftwich.
He won't live up to the expectations at first and everyone will lose all confidence in him.

I think he will end up like Matt Jones or Randell El and will be drafted because he is stud and play running back or wide out or Dback or some shit like that. Maybe he'll play for the knicks like charlie ward
Umm, no. As of right now he's rated by most scouts as the best QB in college. Sure he's not ready to play in the NFL right now, but he's still a sophomore. He's got a much better arm than he's usually given credit for and he's a big tough son of a bitch. He won't run over defenses like he does in college but he'll definitely be able to run.. think of Daunte Culpepper when he used to run over linebackers to get into the endzone.
I agree with Tom though.. the NFL is so impatient these days with QB's and often times do not run the style of offense that fits the QB the best. Look at Alex Smith. He ran the same style of offense for Urban Meyer at Utah that Tebow does now with Meyer at Florida. Niners drafted him 1st overall and haven't given him shit for an offense his first few years in the league. Dude is still like 25.
btw, despite my general hatred of Florida and the SEC in general, I think it will be an absolute robbery if Tebow does not win the Heisman

He's a sophomore, he's only started one full year. He's got the potential. He's definitely gonna have a short window of opportunity in the NFL. Depending on where he goes is the biggest deal. Who his coach is gonna be. I think a coach can determine how a player plays much more than the player can. If he's allowed to use all of his tools, I think he could be phenomenal, that being said, I doubt he'll be able to use all his tools.

wait are you saying Magic Johnson is black, has AIDS and has it better than ME?
Matt Ryan is sooooooooooo overrated when it comes to being a pro prospect. (no offense to Boston College-ys, I love BC just not Ryan)
Tebow on the other hand could do wonders with the right coach, Wide outs and an unselfish running back. The likely hood of that happening is slim to none though as much as I love him. To take one of Mikes lines He'll probably end up like a Michael Vick without the dog fighting, to much talent that people won't know how to use.
