HELP!!! Need advice

So, I'm in an elimination pool at work. The winner of the pool gets $3180, and there are only six people left. You have to pick one game each week. If you pick the winner correctly, you move on to the next week, if you pick a team and they lose, you are out. It continues on until only one person is remaining.

Here is this week's schedule...Teams in bold are teams I have selected in previous weeks, so I am not allowed to select them again. Home team is listed first...

Cpwboys vs. Packers
Bears vs. Giants
Dolphins vs. Jets
Rams vs. Falcons
Redskins vs. Bills
Vikings vs. Lions
Titans vs. Texans
Colts vs. Jaguars
Chiefs vs. Chargers
Eagles vs. Seahawks
Panthers vs. 49ers
Saints vs. Buccaneers
Cardinals vs. Browns
Raiders vs. Broncos
Steelers vs. Bengals
Ravens vs. Patriots

It seems to me like I have 4 obvious picks here: Rams, Redskins, Panthers, and Broncos.

The Rams are winless at home and might be starting Gus Frerotte. The Panthers are winless at home and will be starting eith David Carr or Vinny Testaverde, plus Frank Gore went nuts last week, and may do so again. The Redskins are dealing with this whole Sean Taylor thing, so they might come out flat, plus they have lost 3 in a row and 4 of their last 5. The Broncos are playing on the road, and I dont like taking road teams, especially when a chance at over $3000 is involved.

So, how would you guys pick. Redskins? Rams? Panthers? Broncos? Somebody totally different?

tough choice no doubt but for my money I say the panthers dont win. I know the 49ers suck but I think Gore is finally on track and the panthers are a really really bad team. good luck though either way.

The answer to this question should be....

Whoever the Dolphins are playing. Yes even the Jets will beat them.


But if you want a sure fire , go with the Redskins for the emotion win.

My gut says to go with the Broncos, but like you said, this is no easy choice. The Jets should also win.

I'm not seeing why you shouldn't go with the Broncos. First of all, their offense is starting to click.. Jay Cutler to Brandon Marshall has been a big play combo in recent weeks.. I think Javon Walker is back, and the Raiders defense while not pathetic isn't exactly top of the league. Plus, the Raiders always have trouble scoring, I heard we might even see some of JaMarcus Russell this week.

Need an added bonus? Shannahan loves to beat the Raiders more than anyone. The team will be heavily prepared.

Here's the other thing that scares me...the guy who sits next tome at work, who has accumulated a gambling debt of over $22,000 has been talking about how much he loves the Broncos. And I've learned that the more confident he is about a game/situation, the less likely it is to happen. Cases in point:

"I GUARANTEE Mark Teixeira will not go to the Braves"

"There is NO WAY Florida beats UCLA in the Final 4"

and a few others.

I actually had two entries in this pool, and my other one got knocked out the one and only week that me and this guy took the same team.

The jets for sure. Dolphins are absolutley terrible and if I am right, I don't believe they have a running back right now. They will go without a win, so thats a damn safe bet.
