UK'ers and specifically the Greater Britainians

My mate and I are planning on coming over for The Ashes in 2009 and doing the full tour. County, Friendlies, ODI, 20/20 and the Ashes themselves. needless to say we're already saving I heard though from a mate who just returned from England after livin there a couple of years that tickets are very hard to get cos of your smaller and inferior grounds ;)

Just wondering and really asking here, if you guys could please keep an ear out for me as to when tickets will go on sale for the tour, so that we can sew up some tickets and actually be able to watch the games. A complimentary ticket is in it for those who help out. Although with the current exchange rates, itll probably be easier for you to buy tickets ;)

Cheers for any help in advance

I wish my sex life was like ECW, first you get a One Night Stand followed by 2 months of nostalgic orgasms and then 6 months of constant sucking.

Re: UK'ers and specifically the Greater Britainians

Eric, there's not even any dates confirmed as yet for Summer 2009. I am on various mailing lists so I should know pretty quick and will keep you in mind.

I take it from this you are intending to travel independently as opposed to going on an official tour?

Are you looking to go to all six tests (proposed) and all days?? Things must be going very well in your bank account!!

What I would also suggest is joining the mailing list on the attached -

http://www.ecb.co.uk/escc-associates/signup.html

This will ensure that you at least know when the tickets are going on sale.

The telephone numbers to call (for all test grounds, just one number) is as follows, but make sure you do whatever dingbat code you have to put in first.

The ECB have a general ticket hotline for all international matches.

Call the ECB Ticketline on +44 (0)8705 338833 (calls charged at national rate) for information on all npower Tests, NatWest Series and NatWest International Twenty20 matches.

Re: UK'ers and specifically the Greater Britainians

For the countie matches including the 20/20's etc tickets are pretty easy to get hold off, its very rare that you see a full ground as for the International games, good luck I managed to get tickets for the Pakistan test last year and the ODI against India this year both at Old Trafford but all the games sell out pretty easily

Re: UK'ers and specifically the Greater Britainians

I usually find it pretty easy to get tickets for all the county grounds outside of Lords and The Oval. Them two are the toughies!

Re: UK'ers and specifically the Greater Britainians

Cheers guys. Yeah definitely planning on going each day of each test. Starting a good job next week. Horrible hours but very very good pay. I've joined the mailing list too. If worst comes to worst, i may join an official tour, but my mate and i would like a bit of freedom over our schedule.
