A-Rod decides
DENVER -- Alex Rodriguez opted out of his $252 million, 10-year contract with the Yankees on Sunday in what appears to be the end of his career with New York.
Rodriguez's decision, announced by agent Scott Boras during Game 4 of the World Series, makes him eligible to become a free agent.

He's trying to get other teams..maybe phantom teams to join a bidding war. It's not just about the base salary, I'm sure A-Rod wants every fucking incentive imaginable.

Basically, he's calling the Yankees bluff. If they really want him now they are going to have to kiss his ass entirely.

To me, this decision means he doesn't give a fuck about New York. If I was the Yanks part of me would consider moving on.

Where does he go?

I say the Cubs or Yanks (I don't believe what they said).

I was thinking the Angels, Dodgers, Cubs, Giants, Padres. Something along those lines. Granted all of them except the Giants are like one step away from the playoffs or the big game. If The Angels pick up A-Rod to play SS/3B and Barry to DH that'd be insane in the middle of the order

Yeah, Angels will be in on this also. You're right.. for a year it'd be insane with Guerrero, A-Rod, and Bonds with Figgins, Cabrera, and Kendrick setting the table.

Pretty much, considering they said "We will not negotiate with Alex. This is goodbye"

He's got the right to leave and all (and I really dont blame him after all the bullshit that the NY fans and media put him through), but making the announcement during the World Series, with the Red Sox on the verge of winning, was beyond classless. He and Scott Boras are perfect for each other...
