Clive Allen will manage the team for Sunday's game with Blackburn.
Well the inevitable has happened. Such a shame, I thought Jol was a decent coach. Over expectation has hit Spurs I feel.

I read Mark Hughes is being lined up for the job. I think it'd be a step down for Hughes at this moment in time. If Spurs were in a healthier position I'd have said Klingsman would have been an outside bet... but if Spurs were in a healthier position, Jol wouldn't have been dismissed.

I feel God (not the supreme being) will need the smile surgically removed from his face now.

Im actually thinking it could be Ramos, I will try and see if I can get some early odds for this and stick it in Vegas

I should actually read the whole article before posting... it goes on to say

Ramos is regarded as one of the most promising coaches in European football after guiding Sevilla to back-to-back Uefa Cup titles.
Bit strange to get rid of Jol now then, if you've already got a manager ready for next season. I'm guessing Clive Allen will stay on untill the Summer, or maybe David Pleat will be caretaker for the 205th time?

Re: Jol Sacked as Spurs Boss

His position was undermined and made untenable when they sent directors to Seville at the beginning of the season to court Juan DeRamos.

I can't see how, with their set up, a continental basis whereby the players are signed by Damien Camoli (their Technical Director) any manager can see them as an attractive option.

If you do well then Camoli and the board get the credit for buying the players, if you do badly then you get the sack. Aside from the obvious (money) the job should hold no attraction for any manager with serious quality.
