Trent Green's career probably done

First off, the hit. I saw it all over the news. What the hell is Trent Green doing throwing a non-side block? What the hell is Trent Green doing going after Travis Johnson's knees? Truthfully that could've been bad on both parts. Green could've blown out Johnson's knees if he hits him correctly. However, looking at this, the fact that it's his second concussion in as many years, I think it's time for Green to hang up the cleats. Probably one of the most underrated QB's when he was with the Chiefs. Also known as the man who gave us Kurt Warner. He's had a good career, no HOF, but a solid career nonetheless.

Thoughts?

Re: Trent Green's career probably done

They talked about this on mike and mike...

What do you think green should of done? Tackled the dude full on? Green would of got killed... I don't know if green ment to hit the knees, looks like he was just trying to make a block. He went down and got the knees. It was a legal hit.

Now did you hear what the guy guy saif from the texans after the game? Pathetic.

Re: Trent Green's career probably done

Hey, I agree with Golic on this one. I would've been pissed to. Did I mention that the block was probably unneeded as the play was going the other way. What was Green supposed to do? Not block him. That's what I would've done. And yes the block was a legal cut block but I also agree with Golic that the rule should be redefined, what if it was Travis Johnsons career that was ended due to this seemingly unnecessary block? You really shouldn't blind cut block someone.

Re: Trent Green's career probably done

ya i agree... trent should of just let the guy go if he didnt want to take the hit. But it is legal so what can you do? I would of been pissed to so I dont fault the guy after the play getting in his face. But after the game? He should of cooled off a little bit i thinks...

Re: Trent Green's career probably done

He should've but I still don't blame him, because seriously, he could've been severely hurt with that block. And to me that's something I don't/wouldn't take lightly. I mean ideally he should've thought more before he did speak, but really if someone put my career on the line like that on a non-running side block, I'd be plenty pissed off
