I believe it's called a sample size. Even in football. Let's see those two teams play again. LSU normally has a top 15 recruiting class yes, but everyone and their mother knows USC gets the best High School talent out there. Again, I say, preseason polls are as fucked as the BCS itself. And conference power shifts.

Don't I have the right to get on them (Ohio St.)? They were supposed to be the class of the Big 10. And if my memory serves correct, LSU has been in the top 5 in recruiting like every year since they got a split of the national title. Plus, what are we going to base the poll on now? It can't be high school talent. That 'talent' just lost to a 40-point underdog on it's home field.

Why else would Wisconsin have been so high? They lost three key players. And again, I bet if they played again, it'd be a different game. Yet you're still judging a season on one game. I think as soon as the Pats lose we should write them off as overrated. No way they win the Super Bowl if they lose one game. That's basically what you're saying. Was it the biggest game of the year? Yes. But it's still only one game. And what's funny is, if the SEC is so great, why doesn't it just pit itself against the power conferences in the beginning of the season? You know since those schools don't play nearly tough enough conference schedules ![]()

It's not their fault those two programs have fallen apart in recent years. What is USC doing playing Idaho? What is Ohio St. doing playing Akron? How else am I supposed to judge Ohio St.'s season? They didn't play anyone outside of the Big 10 and then when it came to the BCS title game they got blown out of the water.

Well the SEC schools do play powerhouse teams as well as mediocre teams from other BCS schools for example Kentucky plays Louisville every year. Auburn started off against a decent Kansas State team and played a damn good South Flordia school. Georgia played against Oklahoma State and will be playing against Georgia Tech later in the season. Tennessee played California. South Carolina will have Clemson later in the year. LSU has been the only loss on a Virginia Tech team that I think will win the ACC. The list can go on and on. I still think the SEC is the toughest conference in the NCAA with the PAC 10 being second, Big East being the next strongest. I can also agree that SEC fans (Who are also very fair weather) do get very annoying and this is coming from a guy who lives South Georgia. I found it very funny how a lot of fans in my little corner of the world jump from team to team. I knew several people putting Georgia up after beating OK State but as soon as they lost to South Carolina most jumped off the band wagon and onto Alabama's band wagon until the DAWGs beat Bama then everyone was back to being a UGA fan until losing to Tennessee this week. The same can be said about a lot of Gator fans who loved Flordia three weeks ago and now its like Flordia should go ahead and crawl into a grave and cover themselves. As far as USC's loss went... I won't write them out of the PAC ten championship hunt. If USC runs the table and there is less than two undefeated teams (with the exception of Hawaii) I think the Trojans would definately deserve the a shot in the BCS game. The Trojans do have a tough road ahead of them that includes three tough road games with California, Arizona State, and Oregon and all three of these teams are ranked in the top 15.

Kentucky/Louisville, South Carolina/Clemson, Florida/Florida State, Florida/Miami(FL), Georgia/Georgia Tech. And yes I give Tennessee credit for playing a good Cal team. LSU gets gets credit for playing VT. When schedules are made I'd bet dollars to donuts, Auburn though KState would still be a cupcake, Ok State is a cupcake. SEC is the top conference there is no arguing it. But they have the bitchiests, whiniest fans of any conference. That's why they don't get a lot of respect. And I'm dead serious. All SEC fans do is bitch and moan about the conference they play in. How they're constantly overlooked, blah blah blah. That's what aggravates me. They fail to mention that at least one SEC team every year is overrated. Wasn't Arkansas #10 going into the year?

Most SEC fans are always like, LSU and South Carolina should play for the Nat'l Championship, they never think that anyone else comes close to the SEC. USC could compete in the SEC, would they go undefeated? probably not, but normally no team goes undefeated in the SEC.

I will never deny that USC couldn't compete in the SEC and think they would be a contendor for the SEC crown. I still will not count them out for the season with just one loss since there have been several one loss National champions that lost to lesser teams earlier in their championship seasons.
