The former starter and 1st Round Pick has signed a two year deal with the Atlanta Falcons to be the emergency QB aka 3rd String, behind Joey Harrington and Chris Redman.
Odds of him starting by week 5?

wait are you saying Magic Johnson is black, has AIDS and has it better than ME?
It's definitely the best fit for him, as far as wanting to start now and into the future. I'll still be surprised though if Petrino doesn't target Brohm in the draft.
I think Leftwich will eventually earn the starting position here. I think Leftwich is quite under-rated. He has been nagged with injuries, but the guy can flat out play.
I look for big things out of Leftwich in the years to come.

Makes sense. If Joey keeps struggling and Leftiwch can learn the offense, I can see him starting by Week 9 or 10. The Falcons shouldn't rush him in because the last thing they need right now is a limited playbook to accomadate a new QB.
I too think the Falcons will target a QB in the draft and I think they will have a high pick (IMO the first at this rate) so someone like Brohm or Woodson could be possible.
I do still Harrington needs a year to actually learn how to be an effective NFL quarterback, the guy has been under so much pressure since he was drafted to produce results right away, he's been learning how to play NFL ball on the fly which is why he makes so many mental errors.
NExt year Leftwich starts, Harrington backs him up and a rookie QB learns the ropes.
