Re: NFL In-Season Discussion

^^^I remember when the NFC Ran shit. Its interesting to think on what would be mroe dominant if the 90's Niners, Boys, and Packers played todays Colts, Pats, Steelers/Chargers.

Re: NFL In-Season Discussion

ya, and I think it just goes through some stages. I think in a few years the NFC will be the best. I think the 49ers will be good in a few years. Same with the lions and the rest.

Re: NFL In-Season Discussion

The Pack being 2-0. Farve looks better so far this year than he has the past 3, and I always kind of thought NO was going to hit a wall this year, I mean, they prob will still make the playoffs, but if GB can get over on Chi, than they could just tear through that division.

Re: NFL In-Season Discussion

I just wanted to point out that the Giants might have the worst defense in the NFL, especially as far as stopping the pass is concerned.

Want proof? Here goes: Last year, the Giants were 28th in the NFL in passing yards allowed. Now, here's what makes them worst in the NFL. Last year, Giants opponents dropped 57 passes. The next team only had 37 dropped passes against them. So, if you add on all the additional yards from the additional dropped passes, and the Giants end up being the worst pass defense in the NFL

Whats my point? Dont get too excited about Brett Favre going nuts against them

Re: NFL In-Season Discussion

It is funny how some people around the individual team message boards are going beserk. I've seen claims such as, "Texans vs. Packers in Super Bowl XLII" or "Please release Shaun Alexander" and "Fire Norv Turner" oh wait, that should've never been hired. But still, for most people it's week 2, but fans everywhere are acting like 2008 is coming already

Re: NFL In-Season Discussion

They are one of the most Offensively pathetic teams I can recall. I mean there is virtually no excitement. Save Atlanta and Jacksonville, that's a pretty bad Offense

Re: NFL In-Season Discussion

Minnesota does have Purple Jesus (Adrian Peterson), though...

As for the message board stuff, there's a reason for it. The vast majority of people who follow sports (and even those write/talk about it for a living) are idiots.

Because of this, I'm really surprised we have so many people on this board who "get it", including me, you, Freak, Blade, etc.

I shall also commend the sports posters here, as other places I've gone, have quoted Madden ratings for purposes, such as

I seriously think Madden has lowered the bar for some of these self-proclaimed "Football enthusiasts" that and cowboy fans
