People just want to hate on the top teams rather than look at the facts.

I like the way you presented it Jayman. Sure they broke a rule and yes, they deserve to be fined or whatever, but its a stupid freaking rule......

Also, do people realize that this 'valuable information' is essentially useless to them? All teams know that other teams tape/write down their shit all the time?? Change the signals.....Have two or three people calling out signals. It would take a 8 year old to figure this shit out.

Will people STFU about the Patriots WHEN they win the superbowl? Fucking A. Lets hope so. This is the stupidest controversy in sports history.

And for the record, I wouldnt care if it was the Houston Texans or anyone else doing this.

As previously stated I don't hate the Patriots*. Also, please let the record show, the Jets getting the pick was a joke. And Slim, I hate the Cowboys mostly for their "We're better than you etc" Same reason I hate the Raiders. And if it doesn't help them.... why do it? Why be so foolish as to do it then? They must've thought it would help them do something. Anyway what's done is done.



*I can't hate the Patriots I have Brady, Maroney, Moss, Stallworth, Vinatieri on a bunch of teams.

Simon, the reason why it's actually a big deal that they used a video camera is because A.) well, that's technically the only part of this that's against the rules, and B.) there's a timecode on video, so they can sync up every play-call to the actual gameplay footage, record, rewind, and ultimately have the opposing team figured out after a few series.

That said, the punishment was fair, let's leave it alone.

(Giving the Jets the pick, when the Pats have done this to numerous other teams as well, would be Grade A retarded.)

The problem with giving the Jets the 1st round draft pick from the Pats would be that you are now setting a precedent. Anytime from here on when a team "cheats", whether it be stealing signals, or looking at playbooks, whatever..you are going to have fans saying:

"Okay, give team XX the 1st round draft pick from team YY"

"No way!"

"But, they did it to the Jets when the Pats were cheating in 2007. The same rule applies!!!"

Before you know it, every draft pick is just getting changed around between teams, and all hell breaks loose. I sure hope whoever suggested giving the pick to the Jets was joking, because that is the dumbest idea I've ever heard.

So... has anyone yet figured out that I was at the time and am still joking about the Jets getting the pick? It was just a statement to keep it going. I never truthfully thought nor will I ever think that the Jets should in reality get the pick. And Yes the Pats proved they can win with a chip on their shoulder... how about the Packers lighting up the giants too
