1.) I cant find any online NFL rules beyond gameplay rules, Nothing on tampering. So I cant site sources. But after Caldwell, Hawkins and that backup G got realeased, the Jets met with all of them. You might be right on the rules, but its just as shady.

Hahaha, the Jets aren't getting the pick. There's just gonna be 31 picks in the first round.

I think the punishment is fair, though I wouldn't have minded seeing Belichick have to sit out a game.

A first-round draft pick is a huge thing, even for a good team like the Patriots. And it shouldn't matter that they've already got San Fran's pick, because they traded their own pick this year to get it. That lost pick, given the Pats' success in the first round, would have been a huge asset. They fucked up and now they pay the price.

As for stealing signals: whoever said every team does it, you're completely right. The only rule that was broken here -- and it was a big one -- is that you can't use a fucking video camera.

But its totally logical for you to award the Jets a pick.

^^^Thats the point Ive been trying to make. Most just assume that its only the Patriots that are stealing signals.

Actually most of us just assume they're the only ones using Video Cameras on the sidelines.

And whereas I was mostly joking how does it not make sense? Who was wronged in this? The Jets? Oh yeah that's right it WAS The Jets. So why shouldn't the Jets get something good out of when they were wronged? Again, it was mostly meant as a joke. But how is that ill-fated logic that the team who was wronged should get a right?
