Five Easy Questions - Quarterbacks

Five Easy Questions – Quarterbacks

So it’s pretty simple. You just pick ‘em, and if you feel like it, tell us why. At some point during the season, we’ll revisit this thread and see how we’re all doing and laugh at Danny for making all the wrong choices. Cool? Cool. If this goes over well, I’ll whip up a few more instalments before the games begin.

Of the following first-year starters, who will win more games and who will throw more touchdown passes?
  • Jason Campbell (Washington Redskins)
  • Brodie Croyle (Kansas City Chiefs)
  • Tarvaris Jackson (Minnesota Vikings)
  • Matt Schaub (Houston Texans)

Of the following second-year quarterbacks, who will win more games and who will throw more touchdown passes?
  • Jay Cutler (Denver Broncos)
  • Matt Leinart (Arizona Cardinals)
  • Vince Young (Tennessee Titans)
  • COMBINED: Brodie Croyle (KC) and Tarvaris Jackson (MIN)

Of the following quarterbacks with new teams, who will win more games and who will throw more touchdown passes?
  • Daunte Culpepper (Oakland Raiders)
  • Jeff Garcia (Tampa Bay Buccaneers)
  • Trent Green (Miami Dolphins)
  • Joey Harrington (Atlanta Falcons)

Of the following rookie quarterbacks, who will win more games and who will throw more touchdown passes?
  • John Beck (Miami Dolphins)
  • Brady Quinn (Cleveland Browns)
  • JaMarcus Russell (Oakland Raiders)
  • COMBINED: Trent Edwards (BUF), Kevin Kolb (PHI), Drew Stanton (DET)

Of the following Pro Bowl quarterbacks, who will win more games and who will throw more touchdown passes?
  • Tom Brady (New England Patriots)
  • Drew Brees (New Orleans Saints)
  • Peyton Manning (Indianapolis Colts)
  • Carson Palmer (Cincinnati Bengals)

Re: Five Easy Questions - Quarterbacks

cool thread.

1. I think the Chiefs could win 8 games with their running attack and decent enough defense. Croyle. Schuab will throw the most td's.

2. Cutler will win the most games, Leinhart will throw a lot of td's to Fitzgerald and Boldin.

3. I think the Dolphins will be ok. I say Trent Green for wins. Culpepper will throw the most td's.

4. Quinn for both.

5. manning for wins, Brees for td passes.

Re: Five Easy Questions - Quarterbacks

Okay, here are the correct answers:

First-year starters

Wins: Jason Campbell - He's the only one whose team is half decent, and he won't be benched.
TDs: Matt Schaub - He'll edge out Campbell by one or two.

Second-year quarterbacks

Wins: Jay Cutler - Again, his team is by far better than the rest.
TDs: Croyle/Jackson - Each of these guys should finish around 15.

Quarterbacks with new teams

Wins: Jeff Garcia - Garcia is just a winner, and his team could surprise.
TDs: Jeff Garcia - I don't expect Green to play a full season.

Rookie quarterbacks

Wins: Brady Quinn - I'm assuming he'll be the first to start, and by quite a bit.
TDs: Brady Quinn - See above.

Pro Bowl quarterbacks

Wins: Peyton Manning - Could go either way with him and Brady.
TDs: Carson Palmer - I say he finishes around 32-34.

Re: Five Easy Questions - Quarterbacks

JaMarcus Russell I doubt will take many snaps if any this season.

1st Year = Matt Schaub for TDs and wins. I'm a Texan fan and I don't rate Campbell or the Redskins.

2nd Year - Cutler for Wins, Leinart for TDs

New Teams - Garcia for wins, Culpepper for TDs. (Trent Green will be riding pine by the end of the year IMO.)

Rookies = Brady Quinn. Out of that list, he's gonna be the only the only one to start unless someone is injured.

Pro Bowl - Manning for both. I love how everyone is writing off the Colts and giving the man love to the Patriots. Sure the Pats can pass but Maroney has an iffy shoulder and is an unproven every down back, can they run the ball? Pats go 11-3, Colts 13-3 unless Maroney is a beast. Cue the homers.
