LMAO... you're cutting them up left and right today. Not that this is how it will be for sure..., but I find this interesting...

Power rankings coming into 07-08 season

www.foxsports.com
4. Denver Broncos — Denver picked up yet another weapon for their struggling defensive line by signing defensive tackle and all-around clog in the middle Sam Adams earlier this week. Adams joins a revamped line that has already added three draft picks in Jarvis Moss, Tim Crowder, and Marcus Thomas. In comes Travis Henry as well. A 1,500-yard rusher with Tennessee last season, Henry comes to Denver with a Pro Bowl-caliber 2006 season under his belt. But is that really enough to propel Denver to the fourth spot? A team that didn't even make the playoffs last year? No, not quite. It's the development of Jay Cutler that does the job. I see the second-year man out of Vanderbilt having a breakout season in 2007; the kind that puts him in the league's "superstar" discussion. Cutler really came on toward the end of last season. And with Jake Plummer gone, it's fully his team. Look for a Pro Bowl season, and quite possibly, an MVP year.

14. Dallas Cowboys — Goodbye Tuna, hello Bum's kid. It's a new era in Dallas, and with word of a Super Bowl and a Cleveland first-round pick coming to town in the next few years, there's unbridled optimism about the future of Cowboys football. Tony Romo's dating an American Idol, T.O.'s been a model citizen, and the offensive line picked up some valuable new parts over the off-season. Could it really be all so, what's the word — tranquil — in Dallas ? It seems so. Of course, there's still some question marks at defensive back, and the starting receivers — Terry Glenn and T.O. — are both in their mid-30s. But all that considered, Dallas should still be in the hunt for a division crown this season, and, at the very least, another Wild Card spot.

www. espn.com
Broncos - 7th
Cowboys - 9th

And the other I look at is NFL.com but I didnt see the rankings, but I didn't look too hard either... I'll update when i have more time.

The Broncos have picked up many weapons to add to a proven system, while the Cowboys... not so much entering with a new coach with a new system... I wouldn't put money on a first year coach, when a shoe in for the HoF coach couldn't cut it with basically the same team previously... and ESPECIALLY when your replacement is Wade Phillips...

I'm not saying the Broncos will win it all, cause they have some growing to do and a tought fight to get there, but you have to look at this objectively and the Cowboys have only one thing I would consider favoring them in comparrison... they are in the NFC

Re: NFL - HOF if they retired today.

haha good post.. You neve rknow about those power ranking but for the most part they are pretty good.

Denver is tough no doubt, especially in denver.

And your right, Dallas will make the playoffs for sure, but that might be because they are in the nfc.

Re: NFL - HOF if they retired today.

Dallas definitely benefits from being in the NFC. First off, it's easier just to get to the playoffs, since most of the conference is mediocre. (An 8-8 team made the wild card last year).

Secondly, once you get to the playoffs, you don't have to face a juggernaut like the Colts, Chargers, or Patriots. The closest thing to that in the NFC is the Bears or the Saints, and I certainly don't out them on that level. I'd put them in the second tier of AFC teams, like the Bengals and Ravens.

So, if you're a good team in the NFC, it's much easier to advance to the Super Bowl, at which point you just need one big upset to win a championship.

The Broncos have to compete in a division with two teams that have incredible running backs (LDT and LJ). They also play a pretty good Jacksonville team, the Colts on the road, the Steelers (who should be better than they were last year), a Titans team that may or may not be good, and the Bears on the road. And that's just to get to the playoffs.

Re: NFL - HOF if they retired today.

Definitely. While I think the NFC East will be competitive, if the 'Boys make the playoffs their road to the Super Bowl will be a million times easier. No way Denver gets one of the byes in the AFC with the Chargers, Colts, and Pats around, so they'll have to play in the wild card round and then win two road games in buildings that are near impossible.

I think the Cowboys will actually make the Super Bowl in the sorta surprise pick. Romo and Owens will be huge, the D will play well, and their running game should be alright. I'm not sold on Phillips though.

Cowboys for me is all about Romo. In his 1st 5 games he was great, then people caught on that if you pressure the guy and get in his face he doesn't like it and throws off his back foot and we get picks a plenty. The more film they saw on Romo the more they shut him down.

I really hope Romo does well this season and gets the stats he did in his 1st 5 games, if he doesn't I can see the Cowboys leading the John David Booty chase in next years draft with those 2 1st round picks.

Uhhh... what? John David who? The kid who can't throw from USC you mean? How about Brian Brohm? Pat White if he declares? Chad Henne? Andre Woodson? Colt Brennan? Booty is all right, but he reminds me of a guy named Andre Ware... look him up.

Do I need to do a College Football Preview to?

Don't be silly Booty is a solid QB, I like Chad Henne too but he struggles when he's got the D in his face. Colt Brennan is a stud but I doubt he'll go high next year as Hawaii are pass happy hence his numbers.

USC = National Champs this year.

I love College football
