|  A Rivalry dies? Michigan-Notre Dame announced they will be seeking new opponents after the 2010 season. Notre Dame has scheduled Oklahoma in Michigan's stead, Whereas Michigan is said to be looking for a "football power from another conference." It was Notre Dame AD Kevin White stated it was time to return Notre Dame to it's "Independent" status it was looking like a Conference school playing the same teams year in and year out. They said they might negotiate a home-and-home contract for the 2013 season. So who does Michigan go after? USC? Florida? Oklahoma also? Texas? We'll see | |||||||||||||||

| Re: A Rivalry dies? As a Wolverines fan, I'd prefer it not be USC, just because that's a traditional Rose Bowl match-up (they've played each other 7 times in the Rose Bowl). How about giving Louisville a chance? A few months ago I posted an article by Pat Forde of ESPN.com about how Louisville has been trying to schedule home-and-homes with powerhouse teams and nobody wants to go to Louisville. Maybe Michigan can be the team to let the Cardinals prove themselves But, that probably won't happen. My guess is it will be one of the "football-factory" schools i.e. Oklahoma, Texas, Nebraska, Florida, LSU, Miami, Florida State, Auburn, Alabama, etc. | |||||||||||||||
