What would you change about sport?

Instead of making another thread about the news in UK Sports lets have a bit of fun instead

What would you change in the sporting scene in the UK

You can have serious answers or fun answers

Would you introduce goaline technology in football?

Maybe scrap County Championship Cricket?

Or would you introduce naked crown green bowling?

Re: What would you change about sport?

What I would like to see would be a continental football competition, Europe, Asia, Oceania, N. America, S. America and Africa. I know Europe would probably just dominate that but it would be fun to see.

Football:

- I'd like to have a International minor-nations tournament. The smaller nations need a tournament, for the fans if anyone.

- Ref Mics. Fans can hear exactly what the ref is saying to the players. Also clears up some decisions. It's a gread help to fans in the crowd, because you can buy little ear pices and hear the ref throughout the game.

- Liverpool must be deducted 3 points per goal they concede

Rugby

- Get rid of 4 Autumn International matches. Have two at most.

- Make the Irish Provinces field strong sides in the league and not just the Heineken cup. The league is suffering because of it.

- Kick Scottish teams out of the Magners League. They are a waste of time.

Cricket:

- Allow the international players to actually play or their counties.

- Use a pink ball instead of a red one.

Re: What would you change about sport?

Not being a follower of a major football club, I would like to see more genuine consideration given to the national football team both in the manner of how we progress British footballers and managers also. However, this is but a pipe dream!

I do go along with goal line technology if it is simple and quick to implement (and most importantly 100% guaranteed success rate), but absolutely nothing else. Basically because I like that you can essentially play the same game down a park that they do at a Premiership ground on a Saturday (rules wise). Also I kinda like the controversies(!), the Prem is so bloody boring most of the time that, without the controversy, what the hell would we talk about on a Monday?

For English Rugby Union I would like to see centralised contracts for our top players. The Premiership has so much power and has invested so much money in the sport that, again, this is a virtually impossible request unless the Prem somehow votes for that itself (which I guess it would only do if England bombed so bad in the WC....which is possible) that they finally realised the knock on effects to them of an unsuccesful national side.

In Cricket......I think that ticks along quite nicely. There is a bit too much of it played by England courtesy of our money hungry board, but by and large it's okay.

As for naked crown green bowling.......

Agree 100% with that. The power the English clubs have over the players is frightning. I'd like the Welsh Rugby Union to central contract a few of our top players. But at the moment the Welsh Regions (despite their troubles with the Union) always release players without much complaint.

Hmm Liverpool lost that so yeah I think it does however you misunderstood what I meant.

I mean like a manager picks any player that he has available to him from all the nations in that continent to assemble a team, not clubs.

Each successful pass = 1 point gained. No particular reason...

Dan do you mean play in Europe or be a Europe national? If national then South America win every time.
