USA at 14.. I think I remember us being around the top 5 or something crazy like that not long ago.. which we've never been that good.
They're not greatly significant Brandon. It's a bit like the ATP rankings in tennis, nobody gives a crap about a player getting a high ranking if he's not actually winning tournaments.
It's just meant to be a form indicator, for example, South American and European teams play each other, only in anything other than meaningless friendlies, at most once every four years......so gauging how good they are against each other is pretty futile.
USA are quite often high, as Mexico are now, because a lot of the time they play Concacaf (their World Cup quarlifying area countries) and only tend to play more meaninful games (outside World Cup itself) when they are intermittently invited to the Copa America (as has happened over the years)

US do have a few name though that is the thing, people say that they are bad team but with some players that they have it should prove otherwise, but hey England have the best stars in the world and win jack shit.
