Beckham arrives in the USA

Now that David Beckham is starting his first game in America this Saturday, do you care?

I saw a commerical this morning advertising the Galaxy's first game with Beckham. The song in the background was "Hello, Goodbye." You see a news report in Europe saying Beckham is leaving for America. People are weeping in Europe, kids are taking down his posters, a lonely soccer player in the streets. Then you see the report from America that David is on his way. American fans, in his jerseys, are all happy and cheering, etc.

Does his arrival spike your interest at all in the sport? Are you thinking about catching the LA Galaxy game this Saturday?

I'd like him to keep coming back for England internationals, but please, please, please can you keep his insipid, anorexic, fake boobed, pouting, gimp of a no-talent wife over there for the rest of eternity.

What this move will do is get the rest of the world interested in MLS. I certainly will try and watch a bit of the LA Galaxy play with Beckham in their side.

Oh and if you don't want to keep Victoria, she can stay round at my house any day

There have already been reports that Katie Holmes has been following her fashion trends and is basically her little sidekick.

I will be interested to see what this will do for soccer in America. They definitely will shove him down our throats by airing these games on ESPN. We'll see what happens.
