Catalans Dragons have signed Australia Test star Dane Carlaw from Brisbane Broncos on a three-year contract.
The second-row forward, 27, will join the French Super League club next season and will link up with former Broncos team-mate Casey McGuire.
Carlow has won six caps for the Kangaroos and has made 13 State of Origin appearances for Queensland.
"Dane is a very sturdy player who is going to strengthen our pack," said Dragons coach Mick Potter.
"We have suffered many injuries this season and I hope that, with Dane in the pack, we will take another step here in Perpignan.
"His experience with the Kangaroos and Queensland in State of Origin will be very useful for the team."
Christophe Levy, the club's managing director, added: "This signing demonstrates the international interest of the Catalans Dragons club and is further proof of the credibility we will bring to our 2009 franchise."
