Sitting in the stands

How often do you go and watch sports events? Be it Cricket, Football, Rugby, Horseracing, whatever?

If you do attend, do you only go and watch the pros or do you watch semi professionals as well?

And if you don't, would you like to but can't find the time, or would you rather just watch it on the TV for the instant replays?

The main types of matches I go to are rugby union ones. I haven't missed a Cardiff Blues home match for about 3 years, and I often go to away matches which are close by. I also go to the majority of Wales' international matches too. But that costs me a bomb. Recently I've been going to watch the Cardiff RFC home matches too, I went to every home match last season, and we even had a good cup run, but I had to miss the final because I was away!! (Good job I wasn’t there because we lost 8mins into injury time!)

As for Football I only really go and watch Wales play. The rugby clashes with Cardiff City, and since Blues tickets are so much cheaper than Cardiff City ones it's a no brainer.

Last season I watched 39 rugby matches from the stands and about 5 football matches.
