Slammin' Sammy Sosa hit his 600th Career homerun Wednesday night against the Cubs. How Ironic he gets it against the Cubs. However, let the debate begin. How legit is Sosa's 600? Is Sosa a HOFer? Does he get a bad rap for being in a bad era? Personally, I think Sosa would've gotten to 600 without steroids, HOFer, well considering the accusations, it's hard, I put him in, but that's me, Thoughts?

wait are you saying Magic Johnson is black, has AIDS and has it better than ME?
I was a big Sosa fan until the corked bat incident. Ever since, I can't take the guy seriously, and now I'd probably put my money on him having used steroids.
Although your general argument makes sense Freak, I hate when people use the "he used to be really skinny" argument to demonstrate that someone was on steroids. EVERYONE is skinny and scrawny when they're 20 years old (Sammy's age when he broke into the majors). You're not born with a jacked physique like Sosa has...You have to work at it, and it's extremely difficult to get that big before your mid-20's.
Not to say he's innocent or anything...just that the "he used to be really skinny" allegation is not the best way to demonstrate supposed steroid use

Which is why people need to stop saying that exact thing about Bonds. Yeah we have the link between him and BALCO, but the man put on a ton of muscle in his eary to mid 30's... Umm, correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't this the time in a man's life that your body is more likely to build up if you're hitting the gym like I'm sure he was?
Sosa probably used steroids, Bonds probably used steroids, and everyone who hits a ton of home runs these days could possibly have or are using something.. I just don't care about it. We don't have enough evidence to convict anyone of using.. except Giambi..
If you think Bonds' is an asshole fine, but tell me.. why shouldn't this home run record be celebrated? There wasn't a hitter more feared at the plate in history.. maybe Babe Ruth and that's it.
Say Bonds' used.. Then why was he the only one that couldn't be pitched to under any circumstance?
The difference between sosa and bonds is fans actually like sosa cause he is a good guy. People dont like bonds cause he is so arrogant. If sosa was the one breaking the record there would still be some controversy, but not nearly as much as it is with bonds.

See, I'm one of the few who like Bonds' "Fuck you" attitude to the media. He doesn't take their shit and I absolutely LOVE it when Bonds takes shots back at inferior players who stick their nose in his business. It's funny as hell. "Who is he again?" lol..
Look, the guy is great with his kids, he's never really been in trouble with the law, and I've seen him do some great things with fans in the past..
